I recieved great support from the owner who waited for me for 5 hours during the night. My flight was diverted to Naples due to the storm in Rome. It was not clear if my plane could finally land in Rome. Despite all these problems and uncertainty, the owner was waiting for me until 3 AM in the morning. I am very grateful for this!

The host and his family were very kind, helping me check in when I arrived late at night in the rain. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the location to the airport was ideal. Their shuttle service got me to the airport at 4:30am, which was amazing.

Very comfortable accommodation at an exceptional location. The unit is very neat and clean and has all the necessities you would need for a comfortable stay with the added benefit of waking up to a beautiful ocean view. The host was very friendly and accommodating. Can definitely recommend.

We are very happy to have found this cozy place for our stay in Focene. Everything is new, clean and beautiful. It feels like no one has lived there before. The hosts are very nice, kind and helpful. The location is very convenient - close to the sea, cafes and shops with everything you need. In the evening we sat on the patio and enjoyed the place. Thank you very much for this experience. Absolutely recommend!

We stayed for a night at Simons's before a flight back to London and weren't really expecting much, but it turned out to be a magical stay. A stone's throw from a nice beach with sun loungers, a lovely pasticceria/gelateria over the road and local trattoria round the corner serving seafood and Roman classics. The flat was very spacious, with air con, outdoor balconies and clean. Lovely extra touches like coffee, and bits and pieces for breakfast. A handy short drive from the airport, but thick glazing we didn't notice any planes. Simona and Patrizio were really friendly and responsive. Fantastic stay.

I think Focene is mostly a destination for Romans, and it has a reputation as a little run down, but it's also safe seeming, and just fine and there are modest beach clubs. (Restaurant, umbrellas, showers, etc). I'd say it's 'nothing fancy but totally decent'. It is however a GREAT option if you are flying in or out of Fiumincino and don't want to deal with logistics of getting into Rome or paying for an expensive hotel. Someone in Tuscany joked that all I would find there was rats. This was unwarranted. Some areas definitely need fixing up and I saw more trash certainly than Tuscany, but it's fine and safe and just kind of rambling. My rental apartment was 0.5 blocks to a beach club where I would have totally been open to a couple hours at the beach if the timing and weather were right. (I was there early morning on a cloudy day)

We stayed in Focene for just one night.

We stayed in Focene for just one night. We walked around the neighborhood and down by the beach. We were too early in the season to get a real feel for the beach scene. The beach was clean and there appeared to be some fun restaurants there (unfortunately not open for the season).

close to airport, friendly neighborhood, good pizza place in walking distance. Handy Uber driver. It was our last place to stay before flying home. We could have stayed longer, so accommodating. Like a home away from home!

Focene is a quite place, nestled in the nature beauty of the beach and a clear sky to enjoy. It's closeness to the airport and availablity of access by Bus and Taxi makes it very suitable for tourist.

I only stayed 1 night (my flight was changed 2 days before...

I only stayed 1 night (my flight was changed 2 days before travelling, to the previous day, and I wanted to wait for my daughter who was arriving the following day) so an unplanned stay really, I wanted to be close to the airport, so when booking I didn't know anything about the area.

FYI for travelers taking public transportation: it does take...

FYI for travelers taking public transportation: it does take awhile to get to the guest house where I stayed in Focene, requiring a 30-minute regional train from Terminii (3 euros) and depending on your timing, a half-hour wait for a bus ride of about 40 minutes (1 euro). But then just a short walk to the guest house from the bus stop and there is a Conad's grocery store en route which is helpful. I did not see the beach area of Focene, which might be very nice; the area I stayed was a very modest neighborhood simply to spend the night/get to the airport quickly the next morning.
