Hotel Le Grotte offers a swimming pool, a fine restaurant, and comfortable guest rooms; all immersed in the beauty of Parco della Gola della Rossa e di Frasassi. Best place to stay in luxury and comfort while visiting the wonder of the Frasassi caves
Set in Genga inside the Gola della Rossa Regional Park, Albergo Magrini della Genga offers a restaurant and free on-site parking. The Frasassi caves are 3.1 mi from the property. The place is ver clean and the food is remarkable! The owners are very nice and helpful. My advise is to rent a car, there's no public transport, so it's almost impossible to get around without a vehicle.
Il Bivacco Frasassi has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Genga, 2.2 mi from Grotte di Frasassi. This was an authentic Italian B&B with everything we could possibly need. We loved the location although being from Australia is was an experience driving there. We were welcomed with the fire already on and a lovely warm apartment. Breakfast was delicious and the views were amazing.
Il pastore errante Frasassi is located in Genga, 1.4 mi from Grotte di Frasassi, in an area where hiking can be enjoyed. This property offers access to a balcony and free WiFi. Everything was just perfect! The house is stunning, very clean, comfortable, there was literally everything you need in it. Fantastic surroundings: very peaceful and beautiful. Andrea and his girlfriend are absolutely amazing hosts - I've never seen such an excellent care. The breakfast was great: sweet, delicious, varied. And this delicious homemade cake... We'll miss it! ;) I'm sure we'll be back there!
Located in Genga, LA FENICE E IL LUPO provides accommodations with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and garden views. Here you can listen to the silence, enjoy the fantastic panorama and the hospitality of the multilingual hosts. Quiet, with full equipment, near to all important places (Assisi, Ancona, Portonovo, Frasassi caves).
Boasting free bikes, a shared lounge, and a garden, Oasi delle Gazze offers accommodations in Genga with free WiFi and garden views. Wifi was really good, very nice kitchen and appartment. Homemade products were lovely. Hosts were really kind and gave a lot of advices/recommendations. Appartment is in mountain area which was beautiful. No sounds of city/transport whatsoever only animals super!
Very serene and peaceful. The landscape has not changed and still maintained the historical beauty and wildlife that surrounds it. The highlighted landmarks along the Sentino River are a great help to better understand the surroundings. I would gladly visit this area again. Only frustration is no bus or taxi service to access Pierosara and Cerqueto. Great osteria in il Cerqueto if you can make it up there. Amazing food, staff and atmosphere taking you back in time like it once was! L'arbergo Terme was great also. Great location close to several restaurants.
When I arrived I felt as if I was home. All my needs were met in the most cheerful charming manner and I had a delightful stay in the most peaceful beautiful surroundings. I don't know about a "night life" for youngsters. I am a woman of a "certain age" :-) , who enjoys traveling alone. After having been in Roma, Firenze, Siena etc, Genga was perfect for me, the tranquility. The hotel dining room and restaurant across the street both have excellent meals. If you miss the main meal time, the Tabac a few steps away will cheerfully put together a very nice panino to one's specifications. Ganga is tiny, the few places I needed to go, the innkeeper made sure someone was available to get me there and back. And of course, le Grotte di Frassasi, the reason I had come to Genga. I have been in caverns around the world, this is my 2nd time in Frassasi. I still think they are the most amazing, beautiful caverns anywhere. Look them up. Words don't do them justice.
