The property is beautiful, spotlessly clean and has the most wonderful garden and swimming pool. Breakfast was a feast and we also tried lunch and dinner here which were equally wonderful. Can also recommend the wine and tasting menu at Enoteca dell’Etna which is up the road and very tasty and good value.

AustriaEverything was perfect! Vincenzo and Daniela are such kind souls! They gave us local tips and were really helpful. If you want to go to Etna it's the perfect location because you only drive about 20min with the car to the Vulcan.

MaltaReally amazing hosts with good communication. Very clean place and the cosiest we have ever had in Sicily. Amazing for a small family gathering, as it's very safe and children can play outside. Beds are comfortable and even a kitchen is enough for basic use. Really recommend!

New ZealandThis is the most well equipped property we have ever stayed in. The property has been lovingly restored in a traditional Sicilian way but with all the mod cons of the modern World. Nestled at the end of a little lane, we loved the peace and tranquility - we were there 24 hours and in that time only one car and one pedestrian went past. The outdoor furniture was comfortable, with little touches like citronella candles and muslin curtains billowing in the breeze. Based on the slopes of Mount Etna, the cooler air was a welcome relief. The kitchen was so quaint and the two decorative sinks were Instagram worthy! The added bonus was a washing machine in the bathroom. The bedroom we stayed in was really pretty, the bed was super comfortable with quality crisp white bedlinen. The perfect restorative escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Ragalna is a small village part of the metropolitan city of Catania. It is south of the etna volcano and about 20km from Etna Refugio Sapienza. It is a very quiet town and has everything you would need, such as supermarkets, Restaurants, vegetable Shops and Salmuneria Shops. Also playground for kids in the town square.

We only stayed one night and we wished we could have stayed...
We only stayed one night and we wished we could have stayed a couple of days on this beautiful property. The staff was accommodating, friendly, and very informative about the local attractions and food we should try. The dinner we had was 5-star, it was prepared with local and seasonal ingredients that the chef prepared just for us. The portions were out of this world and you have to wear stretch pants to finish it all, but it's so worth it. The room was quaint, clean, and comfortable.

Well Ragalna is a a very small town with approx. 4,000 residents so groceries, super markets and restaurants are quite limited. 1 improvement would be clearing the rubbish from the side of the roads but this is not only in Ragalna. It`s a pitty such a beautiful island still has these issues. The location is very good if you`re planning to go ETNA. It`s also a good location to travel to Catania, Giardini Naxos, Taormina , Enna, Acireale and various parks with destinations no longer than 1.5-2hrs to places mentioned above.

Villa Cassina dell'Etna is a small, family run hotel, at the foot of Etna. All family members are very kind and the guests immediately feel welcome. The garden with the pool just calls you to enjoy the peace of Sicilian countryside. The breakfast and diner were delicious, from home made ingredients. There is also excellent starting point for trip to Etna. We had marvelous time at Villa Casina and we really hope to come back some day. Grazie Rosetta e Gino

This hotel was perfect! The staff were all so friendly and our server for evening dinner claudio was incredible. They Made us feel like we were at home. We were celebrating our honeymoon and it has been our favourite spot in Sicily. It was quiet, relaxing and a romantic setting. There are lots of cute foxes in the evening that love to say hello too!
