Set in Valgrisenche in the Valle d'Aosta region, Maison Bovard offers accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. We loved everything about Maison Bovard! It is beautifully located in Valgrisenche, ideal for outdoor activities. The rooms are quiet, cozy, spacious and super clean. There is a familial, warm atmosphere with very welcoming hosts who did everything to make our stay enjoyable,... from serving a delicious breakfast with homemade breads and pies and local products... to sharing detailed information about the Valle D'Aosta region, its history, its many beautiful, scenic trails and local events. Overall it was a wonderful stay, which exceeded our expectations; we highly recommend Maison Bovard to anyone who wants to visit the area.
Maison Courthoud is located in Rhemes-Saint-Georges. The accommodations is 20 mi from Pré-Saint-Didier. We loved the house and the surroundings. The kitchen was fully equipped. The rooms were comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We were delighted to taste their honey. Fabulous vacation! Thank you :)
This is a fantastic area to spend time, you could be driving around or hiking or walking on the well appointed tracks. The villages are pitoresc, the surroundings magical with waterfall's and mountains with lush green pastures and wild berries to forage.
Really nice old historical house. It is really worth of money. Girls were kind and speak good English. Location is perfect for hiking and also some restaurants are 5-10 minutes walk distance. I was more than happy really good value for money.
It is quiet and peaceful. The locals are nice and talkative, you won't feel lonely but if you want to be in your own it is also possible. In Capaluongo there is a bit more of life but all in all, a quiet area.
There is just one lift and four pistes for downhill skiing but the heliskiing was completely awesome. You need to get a car to find restaurants and there was a tiny supermarket but it wasn't open much at the weekend. Everyone was incredibly friendly (French speaking as well as Italian) and we had some great food.
Tiny village in a beautiful valley with not many other things to do except skiing in winter and trekking in summer. Perfect destination for those who really want to be in the nature and outside the hustle and bustle of other mountain trendy destinations. We ate at maison des myrtilles and le vieux quartier in the old town of Valgrisenche. The second one is more affordable and with big portions. Friendly people everywhere. Fantastic place for nature lovers and families with kids. Couples who only love quiet places and to be immersed in nature will love this area as well as outdoor activities lovers. Couples who love partying out in the evening should not come here.
We stayed in Valgrisenche while coming for ski weekend in another Aosta valley resort, so there was not so much time to get around in Valgrisenche, but would definitely like to come back once more for a hike in summer. You can ski in Valgrisenche as well, but the choice of pists is quite limited
