Hotel in Sowayma
Located at a sacred site on the banks of Jordan River, Russian Pilgrim Residence offers fully furnished apartments with a private kitchen. Honestly, I had such a great time there. I wish I could have stayed for a week. The peace and silence were so soothing. The whole place is so magical and it was a truly amazing experience. When you need a break from the business of life, you need to go there. My highlight was swimming in the Jordan river - what an experience :) The manager, Elias, was so helpful and helped me to get around.

Nestled between the mountains of Mount Nebo and the Jordan River, Ramada Resort Dead Sea is your destination for both leisure and business travelers alike! Almost everything was good, the staff, bus service to Dead Sea prv beach, resistants etc
If you have the time to stay a night at the dead sea, you shouldn’t hesitate to do it! Get to experience floating at the dead sea and rub some mud on your body which has left my skin really soft. And you get to have a relaxing pool experience.
We only stayed one day - and should have booked for longer (2-3 days). A great treat after long walks and a long drive from Wadi Rum and Petra. Allow time for the Spa - it's expensive - but worth it.
We arrived afternoon , the front desk staff with smile welcome, the room was sea view. The Hotel gave us upgraded room with sea view with no charge. The room very large , and very clean , the bed is very comfortable and clean. Water and Tea is available in room, internet is very good inside room and in public area. Breakfast was amazing , and we find what we need on buffet.
Simply, your hotel is going to be the highlight and entirety of your trip. Choose wisely with your hotel, as you're going to rarely go out unless it's to dine at the mall. Speaking of the mall, it's lacking as there are only 3 good restaurants, such as Buffalo Wings and Rings, Rovers Return and a new cafe called eaters. There's a supermarket but it's even worse than a gas store. There is barely anything and half of the products are expired. Ubers are another complicating case. You'll find them but probably one or two in the entire area IF you're lucky. Other than that, there's nothing to do in that area except spending the duration of your trip at your resort. Personally, I'd recommend avoiding most of the hotels and sticking to the Marriott and Kempinski. The others such as the Hilton, Holiday Inn, Movenpick and Crowne Plaza aren't true 5 star quality and they're extremely outdated with nothing to do.
I always like to stay in the dead sea area from the Jordanian side. Access to the different resorts and hotels provide excellent choice. The place is charming and relaxing. Outside the resorts, there are quite enough places to visit, so it is good place to go to. It is helpful to connect with locals (knowing Arabic is plus, but most speak English) as they can take you to places you'd not know about or arrange for services that you might need. For example we connected with Mohamad, a driver from "Travel in Jordan taxi company" and it was amazing. He is always available, on time, and helpful. We connected through WhatsApp to save roaming charges and he used to respond always immediately. We needed to do the PCR test for our next flight and instead of going to Amman or the local hospital and wait in line, he arranged for a lab technician to come to a close point where we took the test, same price. It was a positive experience to connect with the locals and get some helpful tips.
The Ramada Resort Hotel is top value for money. The village of Sowayma itself (2 km from the hotel) is not particularly interesting, but I went here for sun and salt water therapy at the Dead Sea and for that the location is excellent. If you rent a car, you can visit lots of interesting places close to Sowayma.
This property exceeded my expectation. The location and property was amazing, especially the pools and Dead Sea access area. The hotel room looked better than the photographs available on the website. The hosts were hospitable and were available for any questions before and after check-in. Having a washing machine in the room was an added bonus. The host even provided laundry detergent which was very helpful. I definitely recommend this property.

In my opinion the best value for your money hotel at the dead sea. Since it was the cheapest hotel near the dead sea we didn't have any expectations but it was overall a good deal. Nice pools and enough sunbeds

The hotel is very comfortable and the staff is very high morals and this is what made me want to stay in it for as long as possible, who goes to it will never regret, the songs and night celebrations were awesome
The resort is very relaxing, mostly if compared with other hotels in Jordan. There is a direct access to the Dead Sea and you can take mud. The pools are fine but without a view to the sea
