Located in Sowayma, 8 mi from Bethany Beyond the Jordan, Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa features a fitness center and a private beach area. We had a really pleasant stay. The hotel has a private beach which is a great advantage. The room with a sea view was big and comfortable. We liked everything.

This Holiday Inn Resort, on the edge of the Dead Sea, offers luxurious facilities including a private beach area. Each room features flat-screen TVs and free internet. Everything was perfect from the location, to the rooms, the staff. Couldn’t fault the experience. We had dinner which was excellent value for money...the best buffet dinner we have had in a long time. Would definitely recommend and go back. The pools, the beach and the entertainment was also excellent. The best value for money experience!
This oasis-style resort offers an outdoor pool and a spa located directly under a hot spring waterfall. Surrounded by mountains, the Ma'In Hot Springs is only 30 minutes’ drive from the Dead Sea. Everything, from the overlooking scenery right from the room balcony to the excellent services at the reciption, dinning hall, and at the pool. This hotel is an experience by itself.

Mövenpick is my favorite resort ever; I’ve visited it 3 times before and this is my 4th and maaan what a delight, last time i was there almost 6 years ago; love the gardens, the architecture, everything.

Simply, your hotel is going to be the highlight and entirety of your trip. Choose wisely with your hotel, as you're going to rarely go out unless it's to dine at the mall. Speaking of the mall, it's lacking as there are only 3 good restaurants, such as Buffalo Wings and Rings, Rovers Return and a new cafe called eaters. There's a supermarket but it's even worse than a gas store. There is barely anything and half of the products are expired. Ubers are another complicating case. You'll find them but probably one or two in the entire area IF you're lucky. Other than that, there's nothing to do in that area except spending the duration of your trip at your resort. Personally, I'd recommend avoiding most of the hotels and sticking to the Marriott and Kempinski. The others such as the Hilton, Holiday Inn, Movenpick and Crowne Plaza aren't true 5 star quality and they're extremely outdated with nothing to do.
I always like to stay in the dead sea area from the Jordanian side. Access to the different resorts and hotels provide excellent choice. The place is charming and relaxing. Outside the resorts, there are quite enough places to visit, so it is good place to go to. It is helpful to connect with locals (knowing Arabic is plus, but most speak English) as they can take you to places you'd not know about or arrange for services that you might need. For example we connected with Mohamad, a driver from "Travel in Jordan taxi company" and it was amazing. He is always available, on time, and helpful. We connected through WhatsApp to save roaming charges and he used to respond always immediately. We needed to do the PCR test for our next flight and instead of going to Amman or the local hospital and wait in line, he arranged for a lab technician to come to a close point where we took the test, same price. It was a positive experience to connect with the locals and get some helpful tips.
The Ramada Resort Hotel is top value for money. The village of Sowayma itself (2 km from the hotel) is not particularly interesting, but I went here for sun and salt water therapy at the Dead Sea and for that the location is excellent. If you rent a car, you can visit lots of interesting places close to Sowayma.
well the dead sea itself was magical, we visited the panorama center and drank tea peacefully while enjoying the view from their<3 I recommend it 100%. the food at rover and buffalo at samarah mall was great. * but carefully choose your hotel for a better trip.
This is a truly unique place to visit. There is no macro-biology that exists in the Dead Sea, it is also some 430m below sea level, which is another oddity. There are mico-bacterial qualities to the Dead Sea in both the salt and mud and there is many therapeutic benefits from soaking in the sea. The Kempinski Hotel offers a private beach experience too. You could easily head straight from Queen Alia airport to Kempinski Hotel for a 5-7 day stay and just have a pamper/wellbeing focussed week of relaxing in the sun.
The staff were excellent, some amenities were not open but it was comfortable to stay. The menu choices were limited but the food was well presented. An ideal location to visit the many local historical sites. We would definitely return and stay longer.
Everything, from the overlooking scenery right from the room balcony to the excellent services at the reciption, dinning hall, and at the pool. This hotel is an experience by itself.
Thanks to Mr. Geries for his kind and hospitality. Wonderful place, spacious rooms and great sea and pool view.
The pools, slides, and overall.
