The 8 private hot baths are excellent! Free drinks, yakult drinks, ice lollies and evening noodles are served. Very happy experience in the hotel. Very nice room, nice staffs, clean environment. Convenient and close to JR and bus station. Customer needs to take off shoes making the environment very clean.

Great location, easy to locate by car and has ample parking space. It was near attractions, food, and the mall and convenience stores. House was big and clean, with great amenities. It came well stocked from toiletries to kitchen appliances. There were two onsens, one indoors and one outdoors, it was great to relax there especially after a rainy day. We would definitely consider staying there again! The check in process was smooth and only took 2 minutes. I had requested for the pre check-in link like another review suggested - it made it much easier if everything was pre-filled. Information about the property was well organized and easy to find.

Prompt response to queries. They really take good care of their guests. They helped us with restaurant reservations— and those restos were amazing!The lady that helped us settle in 2 days before, happened to be at the resto we were dining in. It was her day off from work and having her dinner. She got up from her seat and patiently took time to help us pick food and drinks from the Japanese menu! Big space for 4 adults. Having 2 toilets is a plus! Even though we can hear some loud noises late night on the street, we still had good sleep because of the comfortable sheets and mattresses.

    Beppu was one of the highlights of our trip. We flew in and out of Fukuoka and while its nothing compared to other major Japanese cities we have visited, Beppu provided us with really good onsens and very good Oita food which we truly miss til this day!

    The 7 hells was the reason we went to Beppu and they were...

    The 7 hells was the reason we went to Beppu and they were interesting but I'm not 100% sure it was worth travelling specifically for. Better to have it as a day trip from Fukuoka. If you do go, don't go to the 'Crocodile' one, I'm no expert in Crocodile health, but those poor things really did not look in very good condition. That place should be shut down in my opinion.

    When driving into Beppu, I figured it was just another town.

    When driving into Beppu, I figured it was just another town. It was towards the end of 3 weeks driving around Kyushu and we were weary! While people come here for the Seven Hells, we found Beppu to be quite charming. Although quiet, we thought it had a lovely vibe and some busy restaurants to choose from in the evening. The hells are touristy and there are a couple I probably wouldn’t recommend but it’s what Beppu is known for. A lovely spot for a full day exploring, but probably not much more than that.

    The 7 Hells were good places to visit. Going around Beppu is difficult since there werent any taxis readily available. We also did not see much retaurants around so it was good that our accommodations came with meals.

    We booked 1 night in a 3-bed room with private bathroom.

    We booked 1 night in a 3-bed room with private bathroom. The staff were very nice and accommodating, waiting for us when we didn't realise they have a closing time to check in. The main room and in-room bathroom were very spacious. Comfy beds, bathroom shower seem a little weak but had all necessary things such as fridge and table. Kettle in room but if you want to cook, there is a shared kitchen with the rest of the guest house. The only slight negative is that getting to the guesthouse from the station at night was dark, quiet, twisty turny with practically no one around so if alone could be a scary few minutes walk.

    To be avoided on weekends! Way too expensive then... I'm traveling with a "digital nomad" so we stay in a city for 5-7 days at a time. Beppu is a great place to be for a week. Day trips to Yufuin, Oita. There is hiking. The food is amazing. I would recommend getting a place near the station. The hillside by the hells is too remote from restaurants etc.

    I had a great staying at Nogami Honkan. This Japanese-style hotel is lovely. I had a single room with shared bathroom. Shared facilities such as the dining hall and bathroom are very nice and clean. The hotel’s onsen is great! Japanese-style breakfast was very good and abundant. Staff was nice and very helpful (they helped me with the booking of a restaurant). The location is excellent, around 8-10 minutes walking distance from Beppu station and in area with plenty of restaurants and shops. Highly recommend it!

    Wow, this is an art piece of a Hotel. Something totally unique. Everything about this hotel is 10 out of 10. Having your own Onsen in your room is just perfect. It was cold and rainy on our visit to Beppu, the onsen was used over and over, it was just beautiful. The rooms are well set up and the view is incredible. If you want something unique this is the Hotel for you. Just pure luxury.

    I love how it was near Beppu Station and there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel! There was a bus service counter right next to the hotel. The onsen was also very nice ~ Although the room and bathroom was small, I think that the location, facilities and price made it good!

    It is a luxurious resort and I tried multiple times and finally got a room with private onsen and can see sunrise from the room. Really enjoyed our stay. The people there can speak multiple languages so there is no cummunication issue. And the hotel staff were very nice.
