The hostel privides basic but clean amenities, as well as some useful service, like lockers and breakfast. Although no staff always stay there, facility is well maintained and the video phone call system on ground floor made the stay smooth. Location is fine. it's near town center, so easy to visit some sightseeing spots in town, like Chichibu shrine, bamba street, matsuri kaikan, and meisen kan. It takes a 15 min walk from seibu station, may seems far but the way there through local shopping area, so it's fine. It's near a chichibu line station ohanabata, but the frequency is low.

We stayed in room 201. The room is very nice and the wood beams that are exposed are gorgeous! The room was immaculate and lovely. There are many restaurants close by and the location is convenient to Seibu Chichibu station. The hosts were kind.

Everything! The staff are very friendly and kind. The private bath with sauna and the beautiful house that we have been. The ryokan is exactly how we wanted to have for our japanese experience, clean and so comfortable with a nice wood bath. Included also an awesome dinner and breakfast! Besides that, the map with a passport is a great idea to know the local shops and very welcome people. By far the best staying! Thank you so much!

    The Seibu express train to Chichibu is quite a nice way to get there. It is a narrow valley so I recommend renting a car; not sure how easily chichibu works by bus. Some interesting shrines and temples

    I think if you want to also explore the area around Chichibu...

    I think if you want to also explore the area around Chichibu you should stay for two nights. We only stayed for one and we just got to explore the town a bit (although not so much to see) and then we went to Nagatoro, which we could have spent a bit more time. But I have heard that hiking and just going around the mountainous area around is very beautiful.

    The house is very beautiful also the rooms are wonderful and traditional Japanese. The view from the room is amazing! You can easily hike and take the bus back to the appartment. There is a road next to the building but very few cars are driving at night so it is not too loud.
