We visited in the off season, so not much was going on, although we knew that and it was all right. Onta Yaki Pottery Village was a terrific day trip, although we did have to take a long taxi ride to get there. I loved this town and could easily live here.
I loved this town and could easily live here. I was lucky enough to catch Ukai (cormorant fishing on the Mikuma River while enjoying a dinner cruise). It has a laid-back vibe, with some excellent dining options close to the station.
