Fantastic location, right next to the ferry that'll take you to the beginning of the Shimanami Kaido route. The entire hotel is very well adapted to cyclists - you can park your bike right next to your room, which is amazing! The breakfasts were awesome - warm food served on a hot pan will fuel you on your cycling journey. There's also the Giant store where you can rent your bike.

We loved this place: it was probably the nicest (and most spacious) room during our 4-week journey in Japan. The staff was very friendly. The bar/kitchen staff was exceptionally nice and prepared the best coffee we got in Japan. The traditional Japanese-style breakfast set was also delicious. We stayed one night in Onomichi as a starting point for the biking tour Shimanami Kaido, and we can only recommend it.

The property is beautiful and well maintained. Our room was very large with comfortable futon mattresses. We had a separate area with a table and tatami mats and cushions which we used for eating snacks and relaxing. The community bath was exquisite - clean, several separate baths, and a large gorgeous mosaic made the area very calming and luxurious. The staff were very kind and accommodating.

This place was an exceptional stay. It exceeded all of our expectations, from the incredible staff, the very nice amenities, the high quality meals, the beautifully decorated rooms, the spacious Onsen with hilltop view, the rooftop bar that you could relax on all night, and the breathtaking views. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Onomichi. It is less than a ten-minute walk to Senkoji Temple. To get to the bottom of the hill where the Onomichi train station is takes around 15 minutes or so, and it is a magical walk up and down this hill, especially at night.
