The host is kind and helpful. He made us feel welcome. The overall aesthetic of the place is cozy and welcoming. There are some adorable cats that live on the property. They don’t go in the guest area, so don’t worry about allergies. The breakfast offered consists of toast, jam, butter, and your choice of coffee or tea. It was simple but hit the spot.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Our room size was adequate, and snacks were provided. the hotel was very child friendly—house boxes in the rooms, high chairs at almost every table in the dining room, and a large children’s play area. our bathroom was also very large. Breakfast buffet was included and had many Western and Korean options. The hotel offered a complementary boat ride down the river. We walked down to the docks, but didn’t have the time to take the ride. we heard it was a short ride, but the hotel did give a voucher for every day we stayed.

Gapyeong gave us a good respite from the city and a range of weather to enjoy to go along with the views. Gapyeong has loads of options for enjoying art such as the river road arts galleries with cafes we ended up visiting the Koo House Museum a bit down the road. There are lots of cultural foods from the area! As well as some nice roof top terrace river view cafes! Such as RiverWave! I'd recommend trying their bakery dishes we got an apple scone and a maple cream cheese pancake which were both really delightful!
