The location is near a lot of good shopping areas. A taxi to/from the bus and train station was very cheap, so it's easy to get around in that way. There's a few good bus stops nearby that will take you anywhere. Plenty of convenience stores. Also right beside a huge seafood market.

The location is unbeatable, the rooms are spacious and modern, and the staff at the reception went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even speaking perfect English, which is really rare outside Seoul. Great location, 2-minute walk to the Pohang Intercity Bus Terminal. Several restaurants, convenience stores, fast food (Burger King and KFC) close by. Had a tour scheduled that got canceled at the last minute so found myself unsure how to spend the day. Decided to take the intercity bus to Daegu to visit Haeinsa Temple, and see the murals of BTS' Suga and V. Highly recommended!

Location was great and easy to find based on detailed instructions provided by the host immediately after booking. The place was spacious with all the amenities we needed for our stay. We were able to easily walked around Pohang and were able to quickly get on the road to Juwangsan National Park one of the mornings. The rooftop deck was great to sit with my morning coffee (and a drink in the evening). The host was very responsive, helpful, and friendly. My only regret is that we didn't spend more time here.

There is not much tourist in this place yet, so we, as...

There is not much tourist in this place yet, so we, as European, are treated with so much friendliness and care. We loved the long beach walk leading to the hill where you can find the "space walk". Little art pieces every where. Local market etc... if you live seafood, there is so much restaurants for you to choose from. Only little "ick". There is no metro from train station, and buses are not made for big luggage. But taxi are cheap and easily accessible.

Pohang was a great base for us to explore the region, including day trips to places like Gyeongju and Busan. We also explored a beautiful peninsula near Pohang. In the city itself, we visited the Space Walk, enjoyed the local market, and took a canal boat tour.

Pohang is a big Port and Steel making town, so not so many...

Pohang is a big Port and Steel making town, so not so many tourist activities. Pohang Jukdo Market is a big fish and general market. Yeongildae Beach is lively with clean sound, music at night and many new bars and restaurants. The Skywalk is a fun sculpture walking platform to visit and photograph. Not so many travelers so more opportunity to meet friendly Koreans.

I don't think that there's anything out there, as I was...

I don't think that there's anything out there, as I was strictly there for business, but when it comes to the food, it is fantastic. Plus, if you're looking to go budget friendly with your purchases, then Pohang will be kind to you, at least when it comes to food.

Spent 5 nights.

Spent 5 nights. Didn’t do a lot except relaxing most of the time. Trip to the beach just about every day. Industrial steelworks city so maybe not that scenic in places but still interesting. Space Walk is worth going to. Get a great view and it is an experience climbing it.

The only place I would recommend staying while in Pohang is...

The only place I would recommend staying while in Pohang is near Young-il-dae Beach. There are a few other tourist attractions in the area but walking the beachfront both day and night during late spring or early autumn is the best. Be sure to walk it both day and night. Do not expect many restaurants to be open until the afternoon and most of these serve seafood specializing in sishi. Visit Juk-do street market for a glimpse into traditional farmer's market Korean style with food and goods. Unfortunately the bus stops only show Korean on the maps so unless you read Korean or have a guide taxi will be your option but taxi is not expensive. For clean and early dinning without the street odors or mosquitoes you can visit the Lotte Department store which has numerous options at reasonable prices (unlike other products in the store).
