It was a little too cold for a lady from a hot country to explore too much. Best was the walk in Hallasan and eating around in local restaurants specializing in different fishes, did not have to worry about halal or not.
The island was beautiful. The grounds and air were clean. Definitely a more English friendly part of Korea. I spent five days there - I would highly recommend getting your international license ahead of time and renting a car. I admire their bus system but my patience is not plush. A car would really expedite the process of visiting the slightly more rural bits of the island like Maze Land and Manjanggul Caves. If you're only staying within the cities, then a car is unnecessary. Cabs are affordable should you need it.
A wonderful place to visit with stunning views and amazingly kind and caring locals! But dirty beaches and shores with lots of plastic and cigarettes trash... It is confusing. I understand in January is a low season and maybe someone think it's okay, no need to clean as there are no tourists. I just hope in high season it is all clean and pretty and the local authorities will do something to keep it clean the whole year. The bus system is very convenient and you can go anywhere easily. Lots of tasty coffee shops and restaurants.
Jeju is a city enveloped in nature. There are many people but it is not crowded. It has a chill, laidback vibe that makes you feel that you can do everything on your own pace and that there’s no need to rush. It also has great downtowns where I did most of my shopping. It was very easy to get around Jeju, I have always used their bus during my entire stay. You just have to get your own T-money card and put a load on it then you’re good to go. Buses arrive on time, there’s a screen on most bus stops which shows you what bus is arriving next and you can also translate it to a different language for your convenience if you’re a tourist. Most of all, Koreans and tourists from other nationalities are kind. They are always willing to help. I had the best time during my hike to Mt. Halla. It was snowing and it was extremely a different adventure for me. I’ve been fond of Korean foods for the past years so eating their local food is a good experience for me. I also went horse riding and visited Seongsan Ilchulbong and many more tourist spots around the east coast of Jeju. If you want to reflect on yourself, regain inner peace and confidence, immerse yourself in a great culture, Jeju is the place for you.
Good for sightseeing but not shopping. If u really want to head to the city hall dont go to jungang underground shopping its such a waste of time. Dont buy convenient store coffee but opt for cafes. The taste are so different.
Jeju is a beautiful place. You get the ocean, the mountains, the hillsides, the caves...all in one location. Although public transportation is not as reliable compared to other Korean cities, taxi and private tours are within a reasonable price. Jeju has so many UNESCO heritage sites to explore. It is a beauty waiting to be experienced.

Everything. The staff were amazing! They were friendly, polite, always greeted us with a smile and did not hesitate to help us find the correct bus routes to the attractions (which were a lot; they wrote it in Korean and English in case we needed to ask locals). Thank you!! Our room was clean and the view was amazing. It is not close to many attractions but very close to buses and a short bus ride to the Jeju Airport. There are good food choices close by or on the main street just a short walk from the hotel.

1. The breakfast served was not bad despite limited choice. 2. The hotel location is good. The famous black pork BBQ street, Jeju Jungang Underground Shopping Center, Seven Stars Street, Dongmun Traditional Market, Yongduam are all within walking distance. 3. The staff is honest. We accidentally left our ipad in the hotel when we left Jeju. The staff helped to deliver our belongings via express courier and we managed to receive the parcel at our hotel at Seoul with only 4,500 won.

Spacious room. I read about the friendliness of the service staff from the previous reviews. Though I find them helpful, they don't really smile and sometimes I feel that I might be imposing them. It is not a complaint about them, just an observation. I appreciate the hotel's airport pick up/transfer service. Overall, the stay was very comfortable. Thank you.

The location was good. Supermarket, Dongmun market, emart, cafes, shopping street were all within 10-15mins walking distance. There's a mini theme park with Viking and the music disco right behind the hotel. Jeju Airport is about 15mins away by cab, fare would be around ~6100won. Book a room facing the port for sunrise view.

They give us free water for the first 3-4 days then we have to request at the front desk for the coming days. The house keeping give us fresh towels every morning. For the shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion, they refill that every morning for the first couple of days too. I guess its because they saw that we have body wash and lotion of our own .the morning buffet got a lot of choices they have waffles , bread , korean dishes like bulgogi patty. and theres alot ALOT of side dishes. the eggs are cooked upon request.
