BEST stay on our entire trip through Sri Lanka. Truly such a unique experience. Bethiya was such a wonderful host. He was so enthusiastic during our safari tour, we had so much fun. The beds were comfortable and had bug nets. Sleeping in the woods was so relaxing, we could hear the leaves of the trees rustling in the night. The food was INCREDIBLE. Such a great price. I recommend this place to everyone.

Highly recommended for the tasty Sri Lankan home cooking and the nice private safari into the less crowded part of Yala park. Cannot beat this for the price especially with good AC and hot water shower. Worth going a bit out of the way for.

A beautiful retreat by the river and close to Block 5 Yala NP. Suj is a lovely guy and a fantastic cook and the servings are more than we could eat. The room is large and very clean and comfortable. You see elephants on the road not far south of the property and the whole experience there felt truly authentic. Highly recommended

Wow. Did not expect rooms of this quality! Very large farm land with few cabanas spread out. Feels like a mini village. Highlight was the fresh river and river deck which I spent most my time reading. This place opened up a different side to me. Food was all local and healthy. Amazing cycling experience around the village and local lake in the morning followed by a kanda (Herbal Juice with solid honey) in the morning and a river bath will now be my epitome of happiness.

I highly recommend this place because It has centralized to Ella , Yala , Arugambay and they gave a good hospitality. The staf is very friendly and they provided a good service. The hotel was true to the photographs upon the hotels website large pool, nice garden ,clean rooms, Pool Table. I enjoyed the pool 😊 It was a great way to start the morning

Tamarind Tree House is truly a hidden gem for anyone looking to escape into nature without sacrificing comfort. The room we stayed in was beautiful—spacious, cozy, and had a charming view of a small waterfall right outside the window. Waking up to the sound of flowing water was incredibly calming and made the whole experience feel serene and refreshing. The service was warm and attentive, with the staff going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Their hospitality really made a difference and added a personal touch to the stay. That said, a little extra attention to maintenance would take this place from great to exceptional. Some areas could use a bit of upkeep to match the overall charm of the property. But honestly, it didn’t take away much from the experience—we still had a fantastic time. Highly recommended for couples, solo travelers, or anyone looking to unwind close to nature!

Such a nice hotel, with beautiful garden and pool area. It may be a bit far from Ella centre but nothing a taxi of 20 minutes can't fix. Service was outstanding with special thanks to Sahiru, who has been nothing but helpful and lovely. We hope to come back in the future.
