The staff are very welcoming and helped us with things outside of our hotel stay. Breakfast was a very good Sri Lankan breakfast, but they will cater for western tastes. The staff prepared unripe mangos from their tree.... you eat them with a little salt... skin aswell, a really thoughtful treat.

Takes two days to travel around all the attractions, first day travel the east from Jaffna town with a rented vehicle which is much cheaper than the other areas. Other day travel nagadeepa and close by locations to Jaffna city. It was a nice experience around there for the everyone, but must pre plan everything.

I loved the local life feel of Jaffna.
I loved the local life feel of Jaffna. People are not dependent on tourists here and it was a good insight into the rhythms of Sri Lankan everyday life. The food is delicious and well spiced. Try the dosa's for dinner and pitthu for brekfast. The beaches along the north coast (KKS, Point Pedro) are not worth the fuss, however we did not have time to see any of the beach life on the islands so you may be rewarded there.

Jaffna is wonderful, you should really come for a visit. It seems that most tourists don't get here for whatever reason, but they are missing out. The centre is a little chaotic like most cities in Sri Lanka, but take a motorcycle or a tuk tuk tour and go all along the north coast and watch the fishing villages in action or go between the islands south of Jaffna, where you might get lucky enough to see flamingos in their thousands. For people interested in local cuisine, try the crab curry at JAC resturant.

What can I say everything was perfect, makes me...
What can I say everything was perfect, makes me "WOW" as in wow factor. I went to Museums, Fort, Hindu and Buddhist Temples and churches. Local they are nice, caring, hospitable and friendly. What more can I say all instagrammable. I tried all Jaffna food from street food to fine dinning food, the appearance, taste, quality of the food was perfect.

Visiting Jaffna is complete other experience to visiting other parts of Sri Lanka. The distinctive local cuisine, the culture is something one must experience when they visit Sri Lanka. It is a shame that Tamil history is not given due recognition, preserved and promoted accordingly. For an example, the former castle of King sangiliyan, last king of Jaffna kingdom is left completed unattended. Any one can walk in and draw graffiti inside. Nothing of him is mentioned or displayed in the new cultural museum in Jaffna. As he is a big part of Tamil history , govt should rectify this if true reconciliation is to happen.

The hotel was nice, and the staff were very friendly and courteous. They attempted to resolve some of the issues we had staying in the hotel as best as they could. I think this is one of the few hotels in Jaffna with a pool, and even though the pool was small, it was was maintained quite well. I think it's one of the better hotels in Jaffna, but the price kinda reflects it. The location is near Jaffna town and very convenient. Has a lot of nice restaurants around the hotel.
