Beautiful city lots of historical churches and buildings to see only down side is that the roads are very cobbled so not good for anyone with walking difficulties. The city is not tourist are friendly they were staring at us, especially my black brother and me as a Hijabi Muslim which was uncomfortable even at the shops restaurant or museums. People did not smile at all! we loved the Japanese gardens there was more than one garden to visit really nice. Mostly you can walk around the city. The city is small and easy to get around, uber is cheap and there are many buses too. The old town is a beautiful spot with many Lithuanian traditional food spots and free events in the main square through summer. It is very green with a short distance to travel to forests and lakes. The city feels safe, welcoming, and not overcrowded, which makes it ideal for a relaxed getaway.
