Location was great. Close to local shops, with a Lidl about a mile away so easy to shop for essentials. Within a half hour walk of the harbour with all it's restaurants, bars and attractions. Apartment had all you could possible require for a stay, comfortable and well equipped with a patio that gets the sun for a good part of the day. Why pay for a hotel when you can have your own apartment for about the same price. Also the communication with the owner was easy and interactive.

Hotel was very clean, the food was really good, staff very friendly and helpful, the room was large, comfortable and very clean. The roof top pool was great, and the spa and indoor pool was very good too, again, clean and comfortable. The massage treatment was also very good and the staff very friendly. Sound proofing in the room is very good too

Palazzo Castagna was an unexpected gem. We stayed here due to proximity to airport, but found a beautiful hotel offering the charm of an old building with modern amenities. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The kitchen staff gladly accommodated dietary restrictions (gluten) as well as our very tight timeframe for breakfast. One item of note, there are no restaurants close by... not an issue for us since we were here 1 night and the onsite dining was very good.

    The location is good. The hosts were really nice and helpful. She opened the kitchen at the floor upstairs on request. She changed the sheets everyday. The lights in the balcony was also great.

    The host was very friendly, welcoming and very supportive. The room had a separate bathroom, and everything was very clean. I personally really appreciated that the towels were very clean and smelled nice. Location is a bit further from the attractions, but very close to the airport, and the taxi is more or less cheap in Malta.
