Super clean. Good part of town. Clean salt pool. Comfortable beds and good shower. Greeted with a snack and drinks. Room was well equipped with everything from a blender to coffee maker. Day bed in the living area that was very comfy. So comfy that I slept on it half the time. The food in the bistro was good too, try the turkey croissant and the breaded chicken cutlet. The cinnamon buns were good too.

The Hotel Palmeras entrance and pool courtyard asthetic is stunning. Very clean property. Staff are very kind. As a solo traveler I felt peace and calm here. My room had everything it needed. Hosts were amazing and very helpful. Helped arrange for a taxi to the airport and Paula even brought the luggage we forgot (with a passport in it) at the hotel to the airport so we wouldn’t miss our flight.

We first went to Bucerias in 2018 and on this last trip, 2026 the town had grown more than we expected. More restaurant's, accommodations, medical and dental facilities, shopping. The beaches were pretty much the same, just busier. We always enjoyed the surrounding areas of Bucerias which are all very easy to get too by bus, taxi or Uber.

Small, walkable, safe, friendly, good food, beaches are calm and safe waters, loved how small town it felt. Lots of Canadians living there, so so friendly, don't really want to tell everyone about how good it is.

Bucerias has a very different vibe from its close neighbor, Puerto Vallarta. It is quieter, slower paced, casual, family and pet friendly. It does not get the daily cruise ship traffic. It is very much a community, with local people and tourists that have been coming for years. Make sure you eat at the street taco stands. The seafood is superb, clean and fresh. Walking down the streets, everyone has a quick smile, a wave and a hello. There is nothing to fear, walking alone, day or evening on the well lit residential streets. The town closes pretty early in most spots. Dinner is over by 9PM. You can not go wrong with any restaurant in town but Sandrina's garden is very special and the food and service are excellent.

Mexico is changing.

Mexico is changing. There are no good deals to be had any longer. Their prices for food and drink having increased two or three times since pre-Covid. Mexico compares prices to American dollars. Their quality does not justify the price that they're charging now and although I have been traveling to Mexico for 45 years to various areas I've decided not to return. They have priced themselves out of the tourist market as far as I'm concerned.

We have been coming to the Puerto Vallarta area for over 30 years. This area north of PV has gone through many changes and now has come to the south end of Bucerias. We were very impressed with the standard of care that is being done with the improvements to the area. Many new condo building, but not to the point of overcrowding. Great improvements to the streets. Many new restaurant that exceeded our expectations. An area that we will come back to again.

Beautiful country, the best restaurant in the bay for breakfast/lunch is LUNA LUNA. Lots of flowering plants and tropical trees still line the streets....MANY condo developments and lots of construction happening in the 'golden zone'. East of the 200 highway is a more authentic area to stay if you want a local experience outside of the condo/hotel areas.

Excellent location on one of the main streets steps away from restaurants and the beach. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Cute small hotel with a great pool area, surrounded by palms and greenery. The rooms were clean and spacious, they had A/C. Our room had a balcony that faced the pool and we loved to chill in the balcony. The price was very good for the location. We would come back .

Quaint property, some odd things but this is Mexico. The town is not really a resort town - pretty gritty with cobbled roads and uneven walking. We felt safe here as there are many tourists. Excellent food and reasonable prices. We visited to attend the Banderas Bay Music Festival at Los Arroyos Verde.
