Our host was so helpful and friendly and charming. He gave us a bag full of goodies to keep us going all day at Calakmul and also when we left for our next destination. The spacious and cozy cottage is also charming and so nice to return to after our trips to the sites over several days. Sitting outside in the evening we were once visited by a peacock! I believe this is the very best place to stay in the area!

We had the Colibri hut and it was absolutely beautiful, one of our favorite accommodations in Mexico. It was super comfortable even though you feel lost in the jungle. The restaurant was also good!

The location is great for one or two nights if you are visiting the Calakmul ruins. It's a highway road stop hotel but relatively well decorated for what it is. Secure parking.
