The feel is kinda of 70's but the rooms are clean- the cocktails are excellent- the beds are great and they take pets....it is our go to to stay and very secure and lovely staff and food......stay here every time with our pet.... our child... love it have stayed her for years.....
I like Guerrero Negro, it a small place, at this time of year not so much touristic, it is well known of so called Salinera, or saltworks operations one of the biggest salt production in the world. We, with two of my friends booked a tour which was quite impressive to see how the salt is actually producing and how big the production areas it is. The place is calm, has it is own unique charm that somehow I like it very much. The place it is not particularly beautiful but it has something special. Combination of salt, wind and sand in the air.
We were passing through on our way from Cabo to the border so this was just an overnight stay. The town and the coast looked interesting. I believe it would be a good spot for whale watching. We had a blow out earlier in the day and needed a new tire. We also decided to replace the spare as it was very old. Found a tire store in town They mounted two new tires and moved one of the old tires to the spare in about 2o minutes time and fro a very reasonable price. Try that at a tire store in the US!
Since it's half way from the border to my destination in Todos Santos it is a reasonable place to spend the night. I like the restaurant at the Half way Inn and at Mallarimo. If you are spending time here go to the Whale Education area at Ojo de Liebre. I haven't done anything else of a recreational nature here. The Halfway Inn has excellent outdoor space for walking dogs.
What I liked was the convenience of the hotel. It is not too far off the main highway going into town. It has parking next to your room inside the property so your car and belongings feel safe. The beds are better than the other two places we have stayed in Guerrero Negro. The room was clean. For a one-night stay while driving down Baja it was a good choice. Also, next door is a very nice coffee shop! I liked the screen door so we could leave the door open for fresh air.
The hotel was lovely and the staff was very welcoming & cheerful with us. I would highly recommend The Halfway Inn. I would stay there again.
Pretty quaint hotel with pleasant staff. Will stay there again.
