The room was big and the bathroom as well. The beds were on the hard side but this is very common in Mexico. I was happy that the room had a mini fridge and a safe to leave our belongings. Waking up to the sounds of birds was lovely. The location was also very convenient to visit Uxmal and the Chocolate Museum. Lovely room and area to sit outside. We arrived in a downpour which lasted several hours so were not able to use the lovely pools. Good breakfast provided. We also spent time walking in the plantation around the hacienda. Dinners were excellent at the eco lodge nearby. An unexpected pleasure was the choco museum and planetario video show. The Hacienda is beautiful and it's easy to relax as it's so peaceful. It feels like you're taking a step back in time. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't use the restaurants as they were pricey and ratings weren't great. Instead we drove into Muna, a buzzy little town 15 minutes drive north. The setting is fantastic, you're surrounded by trees and lots of birds, not to mention the iguanas. A haven of tranquility. We loved our room with it's traditional slatted windows for ventilation and rocking chairs outside the door.
