I highly recommend @zhotel with a perfect rating of 10! It's conveniently close to all amenities, boasting top-notch staff who are well-trained and attuned to customer needs. Kudos to the management for maintaining an excellent team. The modern and clean decor, spacious deluxe king layout, separate toilet, great lighting, and unobstructed room view make it an ideal choice for both honeymooners and families. The 2nd largest city in Malaysia, Johor Bahru is busy establishing its own identity separate from the capital of Kuala Lumpur. After years of existing as an important industrial hub and gateway to Singapore, new building developments and cheap shopping are attracting international tourists to Eurasia’s southernmost city.

Johor Bahru, sometimes shortened to JB, has a varied assortment of religious and royal buildings within its centre. The Istana Besar (Great Palace) overlooks the Straits of Johor, Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque reveals old colonial influences with its Victorian architecture, and there is the Hindu glass temple, Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman.

    Lived in Malaysia for 11 years now this was my first time to JB, I arrived in Singapore and took the coach to JB via the woodlands checkpoint and then onto JB central. This journey is not for the faint hearted going through the check points with luggage is no joke !!!! and at the wrong time of day you don't want to be caught in the mass amount of workers going back to JB from Singapore as there is literally hinders of people going through the checkpoint. And trying to go through with luggage and trying to get back on the bus at the other end is horrendous to say the least. As for JB I enjoyed my 3 day stay it was exciting to experience another part of Malaysia.

    Nice, short getaway from Singapore which is just across the causeway. Just have to plan the time to come as it can get chaotic during the weekends and long public holidays as a lot of Singaporeans will enter as well. Its also the perfect starting point for those who wants to travel to other parts of Malaysia/ cross land journey as the train station is nearby.

    Too much malls and most of the shops are same. Looking for the variety of the foods at Johor. Lot of foods to visit. But better to visit Johor and nearby country if plan for 5 days trip not Johor alone.

    Disappointed with the range of food in the buffet.

    Disappointed with the range of food in the buffet. Pillow covers and bedsheet was not changed-foul smell of sweat. Unable to unlock the door and had to report to receptionist for 3X before a technician is called to look into the issue aside having to wait for the Q just to notify the receptionist.

    We were on transit to and from Singapore and the hotel provide a good resting place on arrival and departure. We went shopping at JB City Square but there are lots of shopping centres in the city. Night time is lively and vibrant. You can easily take GRAB car from hotel to shopping areas and it does not cost you much,

    Bess Hotel Tokyo in JB Malaysia is a very new Abnb booking through Booking.Com. This unit is located at Level 18 near the lift lobby, able to see the Causeway and Singapore, beside the strong Wifi, you also can use Singapore Data, the interior of this unit is very clean, the furniture, utensils and all fixture are still very new. Tv, Air cons are working well, the unit is brightly lite. Can easily identified from the swimming pool at night. Parking is available and near lift, security guards were seen working around and they were polite.

    This was my 2nd time staying at Minimalist Hotel. The Front Office staff were outstanding, very helpful & so polite. Even it wasn't their problem, they did their best to assist us and accommodate our request. When we were seated near the lift lobby, they came out to turn on the fan for us. We were so tired that we didn't even realise that it wasn't even on. Great job to the Front Office Team! I would definitely return and I have already recommended this hotel to my friends.

    Well it's the super duper location. Name it and everything is accessible. Eateries, theatres, malls, traditional Malaysian food etc. Though it is not a conventional hotel with front office dining etc , the instructiln given to access the unit is clear and straightforward. Unit is spick and span. And the staff can be contacted through what's app anytime. You can even call them.
