    I had been to IJmuiden as a child many times and I am familiar with the neighbouring towns we had intended to visit. Instead, we went further afield and upon the advice of the staff we planned our route slightly different. The staff are very very competent and knowledgeable, always smiling and making sure their guests have everything they need. For us…our time there was too short but nevertheless a fantastic stay. Thank you everyone for your care , hospitality and helpful service. We loved our stay with you

    Went for the Race circuit at Zandvoort but we had lunch on...

    Went for the Race circuit at Zandvoort but we had lunch on the beach nearby and it looked good. The whole are has really interesting architecture and was a proper Dutch community town rather than just a tourist site

    North of the canal, there is industry which is a fascinating view, they're building the biggest lock in the world there! The city is pleasant and there is some shopping opportunity. The beach is fantastic, the dunes are enormous and part of them are in a national park.

    The chalet was very clean and looking even better than on pictures. The owners send us all information needed before the arrival and they arranged us some welcome as well. There was free parking with the chalet, a restaurant in the camping (only open until 19h15), and a small shop where you can buy anything you need and some fresh bakery for the morning or the night. It has also heating system for the colder days. Also the bus stop is just in front of the camping, so you can go to Amsterdam directly from there (duration: 45 minutes).

    Dog friendly (the room at least) - we had a lovely welcome package for the dog (bed, feeding bowl and treats) waiting in our hotel room - a thoughtful and lovely touch; convenient location for beach and car ferry, ample parking (albeit public), friendly reception staff

    The character of this hotel is fabulous and the staff were a delight. The bedrooms are huge. Breakfast was good value, the dinner menu is great. A much better place than we expected for this location.

    Very nice hotel, small rooms but you can find there everything you need for your stay- it's clean and quiet. Wonderful, kind and helpful guy from reception is a huge plus. I really recommend.
