Arriving late in Roermond and being hungry is a combination to be avoided. Restaurant kitchens close at 8pm or 9pm. Our receptionist phoned up a restaurant (De Beers) and asked them to keep the kitchen open for us.
Outstanding!
Also, the hotel accepts dogs - another reason we chose this place.

Not a huge place, but I had the advantage of living there for 3 years in the 70's. Our visit was to visit Dutch friends and reaquaint ourselves with the place. I also have an RAF relative, sadly killed during the war and buried in the local Churchyard.
Quiet a busy town with a good Market, Marina and watersports. The shops good with a large Outlet Village too. Many restaurants and places to eat.

I knew Roermond very well having lived down the road for 9 years. Roermond is an excellent place to visit both from a shopping perspective, the Designer Outlet is very popular and parking (very large) is €4 for 24 hours. The old town is lovely with varied and good restaurants/cafes. Plenty of activities if you like, walking, cycling and water sports. the road network is excellent with Maastrich/Eindhoven/Dusseldorf nearby.

It’s a quaint city with just enough sites to see. Most people come to visit the Designer Outlet Mall, but there’s more to the city. There are beautiful churches, a nice quay with cafe’s and restaurants. You can also visit nearby German cities and walking routes.

Old city, buildings were of great interest.
Old city, buildings were of great interest. Local food market where you can buy all sorts of produce. The asparagus was seasonally very special. Plenty of churches, must see St Christopher's Church.

There is a restaurant in the building of this hotel, and I understood that the accomodation facility was introduced recently. The staff, the owner, the courtesy were all excellent. We had our breakfasts with family in the elegant restaurant, and the breakfasts were prepared freshly just for us. We stayed there with family and after a satisfactory weekend, we changed our minds and extended our stay. This property definitely deserves more than I paid. The location is excellent for those who loves shopping; it is in walking distance to the largest shopping outlet of Europe. I would never forget the hospitality we faced; and for sure the chocolates!!
The hotel is situated perfectly in the city; it is a five minute walk from the station, while the city is right behind it. The room was spacious, had a tiny balcony (not common for hotels at this price point) and the bathroom was exceptionally big, and had a bathtub. Bonus point for the great view of the church which looks stunning at night. Breakfast was included and had a great selection compared to most other hotels at this price.
The location was perfect. Being able to walk to the outlets for shopping was really nice.
Cozy room, quiet even though the train station was nearby.
Lovely breakfast.
Very helpful hosts.
generally the Hotel pretty nice & room was comfortable, close to outlet city :-) (walking distance) and it was very close to the place where I had a meeting the following morning
