Our spacious room was on the ground floor with an outside sitting area overlooking an expanse of grass and water. The bed was comfortable and large, The room was well equipped with cutlery, crockery & a microwave. The bathroom & shower were spacious. The room was very quiet as it is surrounded by open grounds. It is between the airport and the main tourist area so you definitely need a car. We returned for a second night at the end of our visit to the Napier region as we had been so satisfied with the room and the tranquility.

Impressed with this hotel: our room, staff, breakfasts, evening meals, underground parking (at$15pn). Breakfasts consisted of a good continental spread plus an individually prepared hot meal. I can't remember if the latter was included or whether I had prepaid. It did mean the breakfast was hot and not a possible lukewarm meal from a bain-marie. The hotel was just a little way from "town" (but not very far) and there was a Pac'n Save supermarket just over the road for nibbles and drinks. This was my second visit to Napier mainly to look at art deco commercial buildings (with Hastings also a must & possibly even a better example). I doubt there will be a 3rd visit (only because of age) but the hotel is now part of a Group and I would certainly consider those other hotels if they fall within my travel plans. Also by joining the free membership you get a good discount from meals etc.

Our private room and bath had everything we needed. We were pleased with the kitchen (dishes, pans, microwave, stove) and bed was very comfortable. Very quiet room despite have a family with several kids next door; we never heard them. Nice pool. Secure. Near grocery store and downtown. Highly recommend.

The Quest properties were a great discovery in NZ....this was the first one we booked and we tried to find them as we continued our NZ adventure. Nice clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, walkable to everything in downtown Napier and access to washing machines which were super helpful on a 3-4 week trip! Note - make sure you reserve a paid parking spot at this hotel if you have a car as parking options are limited around town. Well worth the cost!

Scenic Hotel Te Pania enjoys a waterfront location on Marine Parade, overlooking Hawkes Bay.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable with a great view. The hotel building is stylish and had a decent amount of parking. Location is handy to downtown and the beach.
