You can do very good stargazing. It's also very peaceful, listening to the birds and bees. The owner is very friendly, too. Considering it's location, the internet was surprisingly reliable and fast.

Pyke Cottage is in a convenient location in historic Clyde, within walking distance to great places to eat (Oliver’s; Three Peaks Coffee) and the beautiful Clutha River. The host, Peter, is super friendly and welcoming and makes you feel right at home, but leaves you to your privacy. The bed was really comfortable and the air conditioning was a welcome amenity on a hot Central Otago night. We had a great stay and can highly recommend the cottage for a couple or solo traveller!

The Location was perfect, the garden was incredible. the fruit peas were abundant with fruit, it truly was agardeners paradise. we sat outside for quite awhile , the sprinkler was going and the local birds were relishing the water . Elaine was a great host from before we arrived until our departure. Weather forecast changed so we asked if we could change our dates and she was able to accommodate us with no fuss. Provided excellent advice on cycle trails and general local knowledge. Accommodation was fantastic and the supplies provided for breakfast were generous and of very good standard.
