Stayed for one night in one of the luxury bubbles, it was a wonderful experience. Peaceful (despite being the weekend and a lot of dune bashing going on in other luckily more remote camps) atmosphere in the deserts with ample options for activities. Proper 4x4 and sufficiently lowered tire pressure absolutely a must if you want to drive to the camp yourself (deep sand). What made the stay particularly memorable was the exceptional hospitality and care by Salim, the owner, and Lenin, who is running the camp day by day.

Hamad and Hassan were very funny and sweet. We had a lovely time by the fire. Hassan cooked great food for dinner and breakfast. Good value compared with some other places considering dinner and breakfast is included. Room is very comfy, we slept great. Good location, feels very cosy. Hamad is Bedouin and he has some beautiful artefacts to show you and talk about. Make sure you bring cash to pay.

I had an amazing stay at Desert Romance Retreat in Bidiyah! The camp is new, very clean, and beautifully designed with a perfect location right in the dunes — you can easily enjoy both sunrise and sunset views from the same spot. We had an amazing stay at this “camp” and I quote because we stayed in the Presidential suites that are more like a carefully planned boutique hotel. One of the first places that I recall where the place was prettier than the pictures. Everything was absolutely perfect—from the moment we arrived until our departure. This was exactly the kind of place we were hoping to find. The camp is genuinely remote - quiet, expansive, and completely removed from the usual noise. If you’re looking for isolation in the best sense of the word, this delivers. Also, the location is stunningly beautiful. Khalid - and everyone else we met - was a wonderful embodiment of the Omani hospitality we’ve come to treasure during our stay. Communication was always pleasant and natural, and he was consistently accommodating and flexible. It was, quite simply, a 10/10 experience.
