Friendly locals and exceptional hospitality…The city maintains its original charm with beautiful beaches and mountains and many valleys to explore. Very clean city and great infrastructure. A very pleasant and friendly city. The list of my favorite places would be much too long. Getting around with Otaxi is very practical. The National Museum, Zubair Museum and the Sultan Qaboos Grand Masjid are a must visit. For a nice coffee or refreshing drink, I recommend the café at Al Mirani Fort, overlooking the Al Alam Palace and the sea. Take a walk on one of the beaches at sunset. In the evening, I particularly love a walk in the park surrounding the Opera House, enjoying the rich perfume of the jasmin trees.
