The hotel was spotlessly clean, both in the public areas, and the rooms. The breakfast was freshly cooked and nicely served. The garage was accessible from the lobby, and secure, which was important to us. Management was exceptional, and went far beyond what was expected. Prior to arriving I had an accident that was causing some pain. I asked for the nearest Emergency Room and without hesitation, I was driven there to be diagnosed with a broken rib. The following morning I asked if they knew anyone who could deliver my motorcycle and me to Cusco. Again, I was driven to a yard where a vehicle was arranged to take me there. I was in Cusco by 3:00 pm. I have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Altavista when visiting Abancay.

El Peregrino was an oasis of peace inside the tumultuous Abancay. The hotel itself is very clean, roomy, convenient and its staff friendly and professional. The restaurant and food is top notch, however the complimentary breakfast was somewhat scarce.
