Located in Malapascua Island, JPH resort offers a garden. The air-conditioned rooms provide a garden view and come with a desk and free WiFi. Everything about JPH was amazing the staff are some of the most accommodating I've ever come across and I've done A LOT of travelling. The location is off the beach but not a long walk to get to various Dive shops. They helped me organise trips/transport and let me use their phone when my UK number wasn't working. Always on hand to give advice on what to do I would highly recommend JPH.
A 5-minute walk to Bounty Beach, Malapascua Starlight Resort offers cozy rooms and free WiFi in public areas. Located on Malapascua Island, the resort has a shared lounge, garden and snack bar. Right across the road from the markets, attentive staff, rooms and property clean & tidy. Was very impressed with how they recycle their plastic bottles, turning them into pot plants or filling them with sand and making garden borders. Relaxed atmosphere, secure also.
Offering a tropical beach getaway, Tepanee Beach Resort sits on top of a 33 ft² piece of land on Malapascua Island. It provides private beach access and cozy rooms with wooden and bamboo furnishings. We LOVED everything about this place! The communication before our trip, having our transfer all taken care of. Welcomed on arrival by Sylvia, who was lovely. Setting is perfect with the beach, cafe bar for breakfast and lunch, loungers with umbrellas, view of the sunset, snorkelling equipment to hire, restaurant on the hill for breakfast option and dinner, a short walk along the beach to other restaurants and bars. The rooms are something else... we upgraded to a sea view room, which was stunning. We stayed in a little detached room with a balcony overlooking the water. All the furniture is bamboo, it was beautiful. The owners are Italian so the coffee and wine were amazing! The food in both onsite restaurants were delicious. We will definitely be back and have already recommended the resort to others.
Located in Malapascua Island, Neverland offers a garden. All guest rooms at the guesthouse are equipped with a seating area. I enjoyed my stay at Neverland. The food was so delicious! I really liked that they are working with the young people in the community to teach them about waste management among other things. I joined the morning yoga. They made a personalized name tag for my room :)
Facing the beachfront, AABANA Beach&Watersport Resort offers 3-star accommodations in Malapascua Island and has Restaurant, garden and water sports facilities. Great location and very helpful staff. Definetely a place to stay in Malapascua if you are looking for a peaceful place.
Located in Malapascua Island, Malapascua Budget Inn has a bar, shared lounge and free WiFi. Jay-ar and his crew were one of the best hostel staffs I've ever met. They were all kind and polite. I liked that they greet you everyday with their sweet smiles and they would always be ready to offer their help if you need assistance. All of their rooms will give you comfortable sleep at night with clean sheets and hypoallergenic pillows. But the best part, room temperature's always been kept cold everyday because a/c's run daily 24/7 to make sure guests will have their best sleep at night after a whole day of underwater diving, swimming or beach camping. Thank you for making my first visit to Malapascua an unforgettable experience that I'll certainly share to friends and family! I hope to see you all really soon! 😊
Located along the shores of Malapascua Island, Evolution Dove and Beach Resort offers peaceful and comfortable accommodations with free WiFi access in the public areas. Somewhat secluded but complete with all I needed. Perfectly safe, too. Dive professionals were all fantastic!
Located along the shores of Malapascua Island, Thresher Cove Resort offers peaceful and comfortable accommodations with free WiFi access in the entire property. EVERYTHING! From amazingly cheap, clean, comfortable and spacious dorm room, through their restaurant (more expensive than in the town center, but worth it when you are too lazy to walk/drive there; delicious and great service!), beautiful garden, relaxing swimming pool and last but not least - their super professional Dive Centre. Never been to a place which would meet totally all my expectations (all right, maybe the pool chairs could be more comfortable :P ). Thank you for hosting me, Thresher Cove!
Located on Malapascua Island, an area known for Tresher Shark diving, Little Mermaid Dove Resort has modern rooms with free Wi-Fi. It features its own diving shop, which offers diving courses. Great location right next to the beach and close to restaurants and dive shops. Stuff was friendly and room was spacious and clean.
Located on the shores of Malapascua Beach, Blue Corals Resort features a private beach area where guests can enjoy water sports activities such as snorkeling and fishing. Loved this hotel perched up on rocks at the end of Bounty Beach affording excellent sunset and sea views. Staff is super nice. Breakfast was very good. Very relaxing vacation!!
The island is made of sand roads nothing is paved. The restaurants are a little more expensive than in cebu. The scuba diving was amazing and the water was nice. The nicer beach without a lot of boats is north beach which you have to walk 30 min or take cheap motorbike ride if you are staying in the main part of Malapascua. Locals were friendly. A lot of stray dogs that all look pretty rough, but all friendly. And children walk around trying to sell stuff frequently.
My favorite spot was the shoreline in front of AABANA resort as it was well maintained. We ,mostly ate at Ging-gings restaurant, their dishes are all so delish and the mango shake was amazing. The 3 hours around the island boat tour was good, ,was able to see large areas of corals and so many colorful fishes.
very small island ,we came here for tresher shark. It is very happy that we saw it.It is a lillte long way to get here from cebu airport ,but this Small place is very paceful place .If no lights during the night i think we will see the very beautiful star~
When getting to the island, if you're not in a rush, just wait for the public ferry (which might take some time to fill up), and don't be pressured into taking the private ferry as it cost a lot more. Take some time to explore more of malapascua island and not just the main beach resort/dive shop areas. There are a lot of hidden gems further inland, and we definitely recommend walking around the local community areas and trying out their local food!
Beautiful beach, very small, no cars, no roads, perfect for disconnecting from everything. People is friendly, lots of places to eat whatever you like. I did a diving course, there's lots of schools to do it! Amazing experience. No atm or place to change money is very low so better change in menu.
Love this untouched Island. It’s perfect for snorkeling and diving. Ocean is perfect for swimming and sunbathing (just wear lots of sunscreen). I cannot rave on how clean and blue the water is. Please be mindful though in picking up your trash because I saw some plastics floating in the ocean(poor fishy).

Everything ! Except for food which to our liking was a lil sweet. Breakfast was amazing by the beach. We were lucky to have live music playing on one of the nights. The ppl at the dive site were fabulous too. Jay and Jules helped us out with our first dive. Probably the most happening place in all of Malapascua island. Overall it's a beautiful place with wonderful ppl around the clock. Would definitely visit again .

A private beach, the whole hotel was like an oasis, a room with a private terrace where you can always relax, the staff was great, the food was great, it was was in the other part of the island so walking to the hotel from a touristic part was actually really great - you can see how people live there and besides that the island in general is incredible.

The owner upgraded our rooms! We stayed only a couple of nights. The cheap food market is walking distance. But it gets scary at the food market at night. I had a bad encounter with a drunk local. So I don’t advise to go there alone at night for the ladies. But the place is great and spacious. It looks and feels new. And receptionist Ariel is the best!

The rooms were tidy and cleaned daily. The pool was nice and also clean. The grounds were really well maintained. The staff are all really friendly and helpful! The location is great. It is close to the beach and beachside restaurants but also nearby cheaper restaurant options not along the beach.

Staffs are very lively and accommodating. They allowed us to check in early and prepare the room as fast as they can without compromising cleanliness. They gave suggestions on what are the best things to do in the area and assure that you get the cheapest one😁

Basic accommodation in a quiet location (10-15 min walk away from main area). Cheapest we could find for a private room. Staff were nice.

We were traveling Philippines for 3 weeks prior to Malapasqua Island and stayed in many hotels. Mangrove in the best place you can stay for relaxation. Place located between two lagoons, a little like on itself island, and secluded from the rest of the places. That gives you privacy, quiet private beach and nice view of the sunset every evening without tourist in your way. Owner (Josephine) traveled the world by herself and knows what level of comfort people looking even though you at Philippines. She is extremely friendly and helped us with every thing we needed. Place done in European style - (reminds me of Spain) meaning bigger rooms than you usually will see on Philippines, designed and unique furniture in every room and unbelievably well planted garden. Place is so unique by location, friendly environment and possibilities it gives, that some people coming there every year and stay up to 6 month, just enjoin being on the island. Place doesn't have dive shop, but I found it no issue. The whole Island can be crossed by foot in 40 minutes. If you want to dive - dive shops just 5-10 min walk from the hotel. You can enjoy beautiful underwater places, but do not stay at overcrowded hotels with loud music at nights and close to local markets. Some people will say: "It's too far from everything", but I think there no place in the whole island that you can call - too far. You will have a choice: enjoy being out, talking to people, visiting bars or enjoy peace and quite at your own time. We were staying in the private house on the beach (room number BC 3). View that you will get every morning and sunsets every evening just stunning. If you looking for a place to be romantic and spend some time together - there is no better place to be.
