DIFFERENT HOTEL DEFINITELY!!! This one is the worst ever! poor location, high prices for the location and quality! Bad SPA and Wellness timings and access! No management thinking and staff playing around!
The monastery / cathedral was great. And there was a great little flea market Sunday morning in the adjacent parking lot focused on antiques. I had dinner in an excellent restaurant across from my hotel, just behind the monastery and was really rather impressed. And of course Super Bock was available everywhere.
Lovely place to visit. The monastry is impressive and the surroudings are very nice. It is a quiet place to stay 1 or 2 days. Taking a coffee and portuguese pastries on a terrace, in front of the monastry is very delightful...
Even though most people visit Batalha because of the monastery, the city is beautiful with a very good infrastructure, very clean, good restaurants and many places to relax. The city is worth for visiting. I recommend to make a trip there.
Batalha is best known for the monastery of course but the town has a very pleasant appeal on it's own. We were very lucky in that there was the best music provided by a Portuguese military band the evening that we were there. It seems there is often entertainment in the town square.
Lovely quaint, quiet town full of wonderful surprises. We ate at VISE VERSA. The food was excellent, the staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and accommodating towards certain allergies and super friendly. We discovered many quaint stores.
The staff was the highest quality when it comes to customer service. They take that extra step to make you feel welcome. For example, we arrived in late afternoon hungry and tired around 4pm. The staff offered to make us a meal. My husband and I ordered one of everything. It was the best meal we have had in Portugal. We were so impressed that we stayed additional day. Our host was also a tour guide. Every suggestion she gave us we did. For example, cave exploring in a local nearby cave. 5 stars.

Our stay at Casa do Outeiro was just perfect and exceeded our expectations completely. The room was plenty spacious for 3 adults and very clean; the balcony was also big with great views. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Breakfast is a bit limited but it is good enough for the day. Great value! Would recommend and go back! :)
What an amazing view from our room (#3)! It was the initial reason we picked the studio to stay, then we found everything else was perfect: very clean and spacious room, comfortable bed, very well furnished and decorated, good location for everything and nearby free (during the pandemic) parking, and the responsible and helpful host!
We liked Everything. Apartment was very spacious and well appointed. The owner was very friendly and had a fire going before we even arrived, which was cosy. The kitchen was stocked with basic snacks and breakfast, so kind. Comfortable beds. Each room also had a heater.
The Olive Hill is a lovely guesthouse run by a nice couple who treat every guest with kindness, We stayed there a night and the room was clean, modern and quite big. The breakfast was pretty good and you can have food delivered by some restaurants in Batalha.
The hosts were truly hosts-- they made us feel at home, like we were old friends coming for a visit. The room was nicer than most indepent hotels I've stayed in in Europe. We would go out of our way to stay here again.
It’s not fair to give any bad reviews due to covid pandemic as it limits the experience but in this town I don’t think there is a better place to stay. Enjoy nature, spa, history, food... it’s all walking distance. Ok?
We lived in the two-bedrooms house. The house is very nice and spacious. Bed is very comfortable. Big TV with Netflix. View from the big window on the garden. Very relaxing. Highly recommended!
Everyone was incredibly nice and friendly, the room was very spacious and everything made you feel at home. We're definitely coming back!
Great location. Very helpful staff, especially front desk. Spacious comfortable room facing the monastery. Good value.
Cosy and comfy great outside space with a very warm welcome
