We were only passing through and not staying directly in the town. There are some good walks available in the area and also seems popular with cyclist. It is hilly and you need some level of fitness. Beautiful scenery and well worth seeing. We ate at the hotel which was tasty tradition Portuguese food

Beautiful part of Portugal, not far from Porto.
Beautiful part of Portugal, not far from Porto. Food and wine is great and the prices are very good, especially at the smaller venues. Riding the local train is a nice, easy and cheap way to travel in the area.
The physical location of this hotel is exceptional - river views for kilometres and huge mountains as far as the eye can see. The facilities were very neat and well-maintained. The on-site breakfast and lunch/dinner were very good. Great spot to sit on the deck and savour the views. The staff were very friendly. Located approximately 1 km from a regional railway station. On-site (free) parking was very useful. An enjoyable two-day stay.
The staff were incredibly attentive, nothing was too much bother. We felt really well looked after yet still had the privacy we wanted. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, the pictures don’t do it justice. The whole setting was so peaceful and exactly what we were after. Thank you!
Outside - a farmhouse with animals, flowers and birds singing, inside - a kind of a modern boutique hotel. I love staying there. Special thanks to fantastic owners who create such a place.
Cinfães is a nice place, high up over the Rio Douro. José is a nice man, he's a French language teacher. He invited me to a glass of wine in the bar next door. How nice is that?
You can't expect it to be a hotel. It is more a family-run house that has about 5 or 6 rooms. However, the place is beautiful and has a fantastic view.
