The simplicity and authenticity of the place, the cleanliness, beautiful yard, delicious breakfast (prepared by the host) and lunch/dinner (prepared by a neighbour family) with local ingredients or products made by them. But above all, the hospitality of Franco, who is truly an amazing host! I recommend a bike ride to the nearby villages Copsa Mare and Biertan , a bit of effort but well worth! :)

Beautiful new house with quality finishes and spacious apartments. As far as we could tell, it had the only swimming pool in Biertan. The courtyard was cozy and looked out to the mountain. The covered terrace was a great spot for meals and to watch the yard. It felt extra nice when it rained, and on sunny days you could sunbathe on the loungers or on the lawn. Our apartment had a fully equipped kitchen. We stocked up in Mediaș and cooked at home, so we didn’t need restaurants. There was plenty of space and the beds were very comfortable. In town the well water was delicious and soft, and we drank only that. We parked in the inner courtyard. We left with the best memories. Because of circumstances beyond our control, we had to leave halfway through our stay. It was a real shame, because this is one of the best places we’ve stayed. The host helped us sort things out and refunded the remaining nights even though he didn’t have to. We were truly touched and we would love to return.

This was a really special, unique place. Wish I made it my home base for four or five days. The host and her family are super kind and have put a lot into the place—it really shows a woman’s creative touch. Best for me was the comfortable single bed (obviously not sure if all beds are the same). Didn’t even get to the hot tub, all the places to sit outside, etc. Really worth it.

Everything was fantastic, we absolutely loved George and Mariana. They were so welcoming, the food was fantastic - we were even given prosecco with our 10/10 breakfast! Couldn't recommend more - don't eat anywhere else in town, you won't get better value or more delicious food!!

The location is excellent, right at the fortified church in Biertran which is a must-see. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean with all the amenities. The host was very welcoming. The food in the adjacent restaurant is authentic Romanaian and reasonably priced for good size portions. Everything was just perfect!
