Belgrade is a wonderful city, lots of history and unique places to see, definitely the park with the fortress ruins and the Military Museum have to be on your "to visit" list, the Zoo is also close by. Tesla Museum is also a must see. The city itself is pretty green, with lots of parks. Starting with 2025, public transport is free, so it's a big plus. I was particularly impressed by the young people – relaxed, polite, always with a fresh air, tastefully dressed, modern, but without ostentation. In the city, sports, art and social events intertwine in a way that makes you want to participate, even if you hadn’t planned to. The city shows its history through museums and elegant buildings, and the lively terraces are a constant invitation to stop by. From place to place, there are also less well-kept corners, but which, in their own way, add authenticity to the landscape. Belgrade is just one of those cities that breathes life into you. You have endless choices in terms of cafes, restaurants, bars, parks, neighbourhoods... Public transport is free which is a big plus. If you're here in 2025, make sure to support a local protest or blockade.
