We are from USA and live in a medium size city.
We are from USA and live in a medium size city. Belgrade is much too much - no parking - everything is built on top of everything. It is not a pleasant city to get around - or easy to navigate - so going places and seeing sights was a chore - very "unfun" and stressful. We are now staying in Novi Sad - a smaller much more relaxed city and vibe. I recommend going to the Galleria, parking in the garage, and enjoying time on the waterfront. Prices are not cheap but it was what we most enjoyed as a way to beat the traffic and claustrophobia of Belgrade center.Guest review byDonUnited States - 10.0

People are very friendly, helpful, town is very safe (if someone tries to tell you that Serbia is dangerous - it’s a complete lie - prefect for families). Belgrade is a fantastic city to explore, go and see it for yourself! The culinary scene is incredible with countless restaurants, bars, coffees with outdoor seating and huge varieties. The historic buildings are beautiful, plenty of museums, parks and squares to visit. Belgrade is a wonderful city, lots of history and unique places to see, definitely the park with the fortress ruins and the Military Museum have to be on your "to visit" list, the Zoo is also close by. Tesla Museum is also a must see. The city itself is pretty green, with lots of parks. Starting with 2025, public transport is free, so it's a big plus. I was particularly impressed by the young people – relaxed, polite, always with a fresh air, tastefully dressed, modern, but without ostentation. In the city, sports, art and social events intertwine in a way that makes you want to participate, even if you hadn’t planned to. The city shows its history through museums and elegant buildings, and the lively terraces are a constant invitation to stop by. From place to place, there are also less well-kept corners, but which, in their own way, add authenticity to the landscape.
