Surrounded by green Alpine mountains, the Slovenian island of Bled is like a piece of paradise in the middle of a picturesque lake. Home to the romantic Bled Castle, this popular tourist town will amaze you with its idyllic landscape and outdoor activities.
Overlooking the Julian Alps, the iconic Assumption of Mary Pilgrimage Church was built on the ruins of a temple dedicated to the Slavic goddess of love, Zina. The island is reachable by a traditional boat called Pletna and is a dreamy place for a wedding. According to the custom, the groom has to silently carry his wife up to the steps of the charming island.
Created at the end of the Ice Age by the Bohinj glacier, the picture-perfect Bled Lake is ideal for activities like fishing, rowing and canoeing. Nature lovers should not miss Iglica Waterfall, a natural miracle on the Suha stream.
Known for its spa facilities, the town of Bled is about 35 km from Triglav National Park and 30 km from the international airport of Ljubljana, Brnik Airport. Check the Booking.com deals and choose the right hotel, guest house or apartment.
An excellent and beautiful lakeside location surrounded by forests and mountains. But because of that, it is an extremely popular destination for locals and foreign visitors alike, with much traffic, Parking can be difficult and relatively expensive.
the area was nice but the only recommendation I can give is don't book the hotel online go there and see with your own eyes and then make your reservation there at the hotel front desk because whatever they have declared on the website its not true and don't trust.
I loved Bled. It was so so beautiful, there are so many fantastic outdoor activities to do in the area. There are also 2 vegan restaurants which was great for us. We ate in the Public and Vegan Kitchen which was great! It is so fun running round the lake, swimming in the lake, rowing in the lake, paddle boarding in the lake and we enjoyed visiting the island and ringing the bell in the church and climbing the clock tower. You can walk everywhere in Bled, you only need a car to travel further away. We did an amazing (and quite challenging) hike next to Lake Bohinj up Mount Sija and Mount Vogel. It was incredibly beautiful with views all over the Triglav National Park and all the way to the sea and the Alps! We also went on trips to the amazing Postojna caves and the Soca valley.
A beautiful location surrounded by vast forests. The lake is small but very lovely and picturesque. Many options for trails, both on foot and by bicycle, all easily accessible. The nature is exceptionally well-preserved.
A beautiful location with plenty of nature and water activities, a castle and plenty of restaurants. We hired a rowing boat and visited the island in the centre of the lake and took the 6km walk around the lake. A bonus was the small (free) wine festival with live music on the edge of the lake. There was more to see and do in the local area, but unfortunately didn't have time.
Lake Bled is an absolute gem of a destination that I can't recommend enough! It offers a magical experience that will leave you in awe. Don't miss the chance to visit the stunning castle and the charming island in the middle of the lake. You can easily rent a boat at an amazingly affordable rate and row to the island in about 20 minutes, which is an exhilarating adventure in itself. The staff at the castle are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. They even organize fun and interactive games with local animators, adding a special touch to your visit. Parking in the area is a breeze thanks to the convenient local parking system with an app that lets you pay for affordable parking right from your phone. While there are plenty of restaurants and bars around Lake Bled, it's worth noting that some prices can be on the higher side. Nonetheless, the majority of the staff in the area are cheerful and friendly, making your stay enjoyable. Though a few may seem a bit weary of tourists, it's best to take it with a pinch of salt and focus on the overall wonderful experience. In conclusion, Lake Bled is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a memorable and enchanting getaway. With its breathtaking scenery, friendly staff, and unforgettable activities, you're in for an incredible journey that you won't soon forget!
I couldn't believe that I hopped off the bus and there was the Bled Rose Hotel right in front of me! It feels very luxe from the moment you enter - the staff were attentive and helpful, the common areas are beautifully designed and maintained, the room I had was enormous too. Very new, clean, well designed, lots of creature comforts, a very comfortable bed, and a really nice bathroom. The view from the balcony was exceptional, and the restaurant/bar also features an incredible view of the castle, the lake and the St. Martina church.
It was easy to find, it is very close to Lake Bled and surrounded by the most beautiful views. We had a balcony in our room (2), but the view was better on the other side. The room was big and very clean. The TV had Netflix, which was a surprise. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. We were almost alone in the hotel, so the breakfast was "personalized", we had bread, ham and cheese, peppers and juice, the eggs were made to order. It was more than enough but it felt different. Overall it was ok.
Pictures provided don’t do the view justice. The chalet is up-hill in quite area where you get amazing view of Bled island that you would not get if you staying in city center. Also there is car parking which is perfect. Plus there is a hiking trials close by that give you one of the best viewing point of the whole lake and city. For the chalet itself nice small cottage feeling with nice outdoor sitting area. Nice heating as it gets chilly sometimes. And over all very clean. we enjoyed the stay very much.
Bled
This hotel is right on the road that rings Lake Bled. I stayed in the very top room, a quirky attic room with slanted ceilings. It had a FABULOUS view of Lake Bled. I think I got that view for a good price since the room was oddly shaped and there was no elevator, but those things did not bother me. Easy walk to the boats that can take you to the church on the island. Lovely to wake up at sunrise and walk out the door and around the lake.
Friendly receptionist who found a quick and practical solution to our car parking problem. Small room with all the contents of a large one. Delicious dinner on the terrace and rich breakfast with attentive service. The hotel is centrally located, close to the lake. Our two medium size dogs were accepted without any problem. On our next trip to Slovenia we will stay at the Lovec Hotel again.
Bled
The location of Vila Lipa is ideal for a visit to Lake Bled. It is a two-minute walk from the hotel. You can reach many different destinations like a supermarket, restaurants, and attractions in a very short time. The kitchen and the bathrooms were very clean and the bathrooms seem to be just recently renovated as they looked all shiny and beautiful.
Bled
Location is wonderful. Two minute walk to: the lake, the hotel's other restaurant (Old Cellar -fantastic), and e-bike rentals. Hotel is gorgeous with a fantastic covered, outdoor dining area. The buffet breakfast was great as well. I could see Bled Castle from my room's windows, even the shower window. Highly recommend!
The hotel is located close to Lake Bled and has very good views. The shops and restaurants are close. It is not too old and has a nice pool. Parking was good. Staff tried to be helpful but were not able to address major issues. A reasonable breakfast was available.
Very nice hotel near to the Lake, ( 3 min walk) although is very calm. The rooms are very clean, the breakfast was perfect. I would highly recommend. If we return to Bled we will choose this hotel once again. There were every day parking spot. We really enjoy this.
The Hotel Triglav has a great location a little away from town but overlooking the island on Lake Bled. It was a nice place to relax at the end of the day and a great view to wake up to in the morning. Breakfast offered a nice variety and were well prepared.
the overall property is just amazing. the grounds were sprawled over a few acres and the property is on Lake Bled. The staff at the hotel were at the highest standard. always helpful and courteous. this includes all the staff.
Bled

Beautiful Hotel just on the south shore of Bled lake. The room was nicely decorated and with a wonderful view of the lake. Breakfast was delicious with top quality ingredients... difficult to find elsewhere.
Staff are excellent and friendly. Location is optimal and the spa is the most beautiful you could imagine. Breakfasts were lovely with view of lake. We loved this hotel and we live Lake Bled!
