Hisa Stare Mame is a beautiful property! When doing the renovating, the owners did most of the work themselves and their attention to detail shows. The wood and the brick creates a very warm and inviting space, and the accent lighting was a nice touch. We stayed in the bigger ground floor apartment and we were very comfortable. There is a shared hot tub and all we had to do was put our name on the sign up sheet to enjoy it to ourselves at the designated time. Convenient location and very quiet at night for sleeping. We did have a problem with the projector TV in the bedroom and when I texted the owner, Rok was at our door within minutes to help us solve the problem. Turns out the remote just needed new batteries! The entire staff was lovely and I would definitely recommend this property if you need a place to stay in Kamnik!

Very spacious and stylish apartment close to the city center. Impressive yard with a fountain and little fishes. Nice balcony where you can enjoy morning coffee or evening wine. The owner is very friendly! We received great recommendations on where to buy local products and our children even got a sweet surprise! We would highly recommend this place and definitely come back one day in the future!

The staff was extremly helpful, provided additional ammenities. The location was great, no distractions, just the birda chirping, an occasional rabbit and a deer were our neighbours. The kitchen was clean, with alnost everything you would hope for. The bathroom was exceptional.

    The main cable car up the Velika Planina is just a 10 minute drive away, and the views from the top on a clear day are breathtaking, and a MUST if visiting the area... well worth ther 26 EUR round trip! Make sure you also visit Ljubljana ... one of the most beautiful small capitals in Europe . It's just 45 mins on the train from Kamnik Graben, and a much better option than driving as car parking in the City is approx. 2.50 EUR an hour. The pizzas at Pri Cesarju in Kamnik are simply the best, and if you want a great burger then '7 Burger' just outside Kamnik is a great option. If you have a car go up to Stari grad nad Kamnikom for a coffee and spectacular views, just a shame that the viewing platform remains closed and inaccessible. The Pekarna Center is a great bakery in the centre of the town, which is opposite the Veronika Cafe which serves the best coffee and cakes! If parking in the centre of Kamnik you get the first 30 mins free. Also remember that NO supermarkets open on a Sunday.

    Well worth a visit if one is travelling about Slovenia. It has a nice old style town and within easy car distance are some great walks in the higher mountains. I suspect at busy times of the year and the school holidays in Europe Kamnik will be a busy place and booking early will pay dividends.

    We came to Kamnik at the end of a two-week trip in Slovenia.

    We came to Kamnik at the end of a two-week trip in Slovenia. We came mostly to see Velika Planina, which was worth it even if it was a cloudy, windy, and cold day up there. We stayed in Kamnik for two nights, leaving early in the morning to catch a flight on the last day. The Kamnik old town was very cool and fun to walk around for the old architecture. However, when we went (Fri-Sun in late September) almost no shops were open, which was frustrating because I could see cool handicrafts through the windows. The whole town honestly felt a bit deserted. In addition, there are very limited places to eat dinner in town.

    The mountains are incredible, so different!

    The mountains are incredible, so different! There's a nice historic town centre and all the villages around there are pretty and neat. You can take a cable car up the mountain which is definitely worth doing. It's so easy to get travel to anywhere you want from Kamnik so we were very happy we chose it as our base.

    We live in the area and booked this room for our friend visiting for 2 weeks from the US. He loved his stay here and was so comfortable. He especially loved having a beautiful home made breakfast every morning and enjoying walks through beautiful Kamnik. After our adventures during the day he would come home for a beer at the little pub next door and to sleep in his cozy quiet room. It was really perfect and had everything he needed. We will be hosting future friends and family here.

    A great opportunity to spend a couple of nights in this former Monastery. - such a peaceful location - I had the best night's sleep ever. Around 15 minutes walk from the centre of Kamnik, which is a charming little.town about an hour from Ljubljana. Helpful staff (I even got a pickup from the bus station, since I was running slightly late). Fabulous Balkan restaurant near bus station. - the best salads ever, that I felt they were definitely worthy of a mention!

    Fabulous apartment, spotless and spacious, ample clean towels and coffee and tea supplied plus welcome fruit bowl. The host was amazing very welcoming and met us on our very late arrival! Amazing area, we spent the week walking from the doorstep. Shop 10 min walk plus easy walk to Kamnik 1 hr. Would highly recommend staying here.
