Location - it was like a dream. And they had a broom right outside our door so when the inevitable sand was tracked into our room, we could clean it up. We never ate in the restaurant so I can't say how it was, but the other options nearby were excellent. If you're staying longer than 3 nights and want to see more than just the hotel and its surroundings, you'll want to rent a scooter.

too shallow and too many rocks, dead corrals etc on the surface... bottle beach and others are much nicer. if you want to snorkel you have to get way into the water to avoid getting scratched on your belly. for the most part the beach was clean:)

All the staff were super friendly and helpful. They went the extra mile in every respect ad were always smiling, saying hello and super approachable. This was the most noticeable thing at the hotel, just how welcoming and nice all the staff were. Along with that the food and comfort was amazing, the room was very nice and was always cleaned and presented really well. We had room service one evening also at it was amazing, my partner had use her computer some evenings so having a comfortable room really made it very comfortable to spend time inside the room. The complex was also great, everything was clean, the trees looked healthy, and the swimming pools were amazing. Not to mention the location on the water. I can't want to return and stay here again, i cant think of a better way to spend my time on the island. As for places to visit, - Coral bay was beautful and an amazing place to swim and relax on the beach. - Bottle beach was an amazing beach to visit in the after noon via a water taxi, as the return trip was soaked in sunset - AMAZING -Bluerama was a great place to eat & drink, the was recommended to me by the front desk and really was cool. -Secret Mountain was another great place to have food and drinks under the sunset. -Treehouse bar was recommended to us from a gentleman working at the Bottle Beach beach bar and was such a cool place to relax and over look Ko Ma & the resort.

The Mae Haad area is paradise for nature lovers - the beaches, the islands and tropical forests make an amazing visual combination - it felt like being in a postcard. It's a very laid back area with nothing high-end or luxurious but good quality food and fun little bars are available. We had a lovely dinner at Roots. We heard the area is very different during the full moon parties - we were there after the parties ended so we got to experience the quieter side of the island.
