Located within 6.1 miles of Luodong Train Station and 6.3 miles of Jiaoxi Railway Station, Central Woods has rooms in Yilan City. Clean and well organized hostel. I have to give a serious shout out to Vito who helped me immensely. First he came and found me and personally escorted me to the hostel when Google maps led me to the wrong place. Then I was disappointed to find out that the main cold springs were closed but he directed me to a smaller cold spring that was always open. I never would have found it without him and it saved me on a blisteringly hot day

I loved the market, it not too over crowded yet has everything you need. The restuarants offer the best food with great service. I loved the beach and the traditional museam. People are generally very friendly. Day Chen hotel was also the highlight of my stay in Yilan😀
Yilan had numerous waterfalls with hiking, hot springs, beaches, beautiful green rice fields, and lovely stops. I enjoyed driving and seeing the differences of country living to city life. Some of our favorite places were Artemis Garden (soap making and succulent planting for a rainy day), Linmei Shipan Trail, Dongmen Night Market, Luodong Sports Park, and different hot springs around the area.
I have actually just moved to Yilan City to start a new job and stayed at "Jimmy's" while looking for an apartment to rent. The city itself is without doubt the best place I've lived in/visited during my nearly three years in Taiwan. Love it!
We loved National Centre for traditional arts, lots of traditional art works, cultural arts that you can see there. Children also enjoyed doing DIY activities there. Yilan riverside park was another place we enjoyed most. We had great time to ride the bikes together around the park.
It is a place for family with kids and can explore different parts of the city with a wide variety of activities like museum, workshop, sight seeing, hotspring, horse riding, and a number of excellent hotels.
The sea is amazing, if you like antique, you can try the stone museum, you will be amazed. Traveling around is Abit hard, if you plan to go somewhere farther, you can consider renting a car/motorbike, they are available near the Yilan train station.
Hotel has design feature and service is good. The environment has many green area you could walk in the morning. The room is carefully thought. It has changed all night indicator into orange which is better than blue (blue tends to stimulate your brain and fool you it is still morning. Not good for circadium rhythem). Though the fire alert blinking is not orange. (likely not customizable.). Hotel employee are all helpful and polite.
Yilan City
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, close to the station but off the main road so not too loud or busy, nearby shops, the night market and lots of good places to get food. Our room was comfortable and private, it felt very clean and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Plus, the receptionist was very helpful!
Yilan City
The hotel is in a little farm oasis that the owners put a lot of work into. It's very tranquil and peaceful. The buffet breakfast was great, and yummy. There is a lovely pond in middle and many ducks and chickens wonder around. The owners called us right away when we accidentally left something behind.

The kids play area in the middle of the hotel courtyard were great. The kids car rentals were great. Wish we stayed more than 1 night in order to watch a movie and such. The pools were fun and provided a nice waiting area/time before check in
