The front desk staff and the manager were absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful in trying to make sure I was comfortable. I needed a handicap room which wasn't on my reservation, and they made sure that I got one. They make fresh baked cookies that you can smell while they are baking in the evening which was an absolute wonderful touch. The room was clean and comfortable with a refrigerator and microwave. I must say it was a really comfortable room and I wish I could have enjoyed it for another couple days, but I will look forward to returning.
Old Town/riverfront area was fantastic. Never even knew it existed before this. Great bars, restaurants, nice waterfront park, lots of happy pleasant people out & about. Ate at Barca twice, excellent Catalonian themed menu. The garlic scallops are to die for. Went with a buddy who had a medical appointment & made a weekend of it. We want to go back soon.
Old Town is charming, the area around the hotel, less so. There are numerous restaurant options south of the property at more affordable prices than those in Old Town. TRAFFIC IS HORRIBLE! Especially during morning and evening rush hours. Plan your driving accordingly!
We stayed in Alexandria in order to visit DC. It was a good choice. We took the Metro into DC each day, which was an easy ride, and we didn't have to worry about parking. We also walked around in Old Town Alexandria. It is a beautiful area with cool shops and restaurants.
Our stay was great until we learned the uncleanliness of our room. Upon check-in, we didn't really check the room due to plans we had already scheduled. Once we were in for the night, we noticed a dirty pair of socks that were not our by the bed and two dirty towels and a shirt that also was not ours in the bathroom. Based on this, I went and talked to the young man at the desk and he was great and approachable but did not offer to move us. If housekeeping did not notice the dirty Clothes, I believed they could have not thoroughly cleaned the entire room. We Had to result to sleeping on a small couch as we didn't know how clean the bed was and went to a nearby military installation to shower because we also believed the shower may have not been thoroughly cleaned. We called and attempted to speak to one of the managers Ms. couch, and she failed to speak to us or follow up with us about the visit. The believed taking the parking fee off was enough to make up for the dirty room however it meant more if the manager would actually hear us out. I would never recommended this facility to another person or another service member with Andrews AFB near.
We always love a visit to Old Town Alexandria! King Street is full of shops and restaurants that will appeal to all types of people. The waterfront is fun and there are performers to entertain the crowds, including magicians, singers, and comedians. Really love the art offerings at the Torpedo Factory.
Alexandria
The location is terrific in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. King Street links to all sorts of transport options, so I was able to take the Metro to DC, the bus to my meetings in National Harbor, and the Amtrak train to Richmond. The apartment has a well-appointed kitchen and beautiful French doors overlooking an internal courtyard - very comfortable and efficient and lovely in its simplicity. There are grocery stores and many, many restaurants and take-out sources nearby.
Very clean. Room with comfortable king size bed. Good location. 5 minute walk to Metro with quick access to Wash DC on yellow line. L’Enfant stop is very close to Air and Space Museum and Capital area. Hotel is easy 1 mile walk to waterfront. Many shops, bars and restaurants on the way. Free trolley stop right across street. Great value. Will definitely stay again. Lots to do and see in Alexandria.
There is a larger breakfast area with plenty of options. The hotel is a little hard to see the entrance for the parking lot, as you need to drive through another hotel's lot to get to it, but there is plenty of parking at the hotel itself. Room was a great size, the living room area was great for us to be able to hang out in the evenings.
Located right across the road (within walking distance) from the Washington Metro makes this a great hotel to leave the car and visit the City (20 mins by Metro). A few restaurants within walking distance if required. Plenty of Parking. Room was clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful.
The room was spacious with all the amenities. Centrally located in Old Alexandria this hotel exceeded my expectations. Walking distance to all the attractions and restaurants. Parking available, full gym, laundry facilities. This was a great place to stay. I highly recommend it.
Great location convenient to the Metro's blue and yellow lines, and all of Old Town Alexandria. The rooms are comfortable, clean and modern. We also enjoyed the complimentary coffee, flavored water and happy hour wine!
I took my daughter to Old Town for a girls weekend. We LOVED the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, the hotel common areas are beautiful, and the room was very fancy and comfortable.
Location was perfect The hotel was lovely and clean The man at reception on arrival wasn't very welcoming, but the other two ladies we saw during our stay were very nice
The hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful. The location is excellent, near the metro and in the beginning of the King street, where everything happens.
They were only doing to go bags and we missed it by 10 minutes. So we didn’t get any. That was truly the only disappointment of our stay at this hotel.
Room was comfortable clean. The fitness room was well equipped with equipment and towels. Best I've seen in any hotel.
Great Hotel, super confortables and big rooms. Great location near the waterfront of Alexandria old city. Great breakfast.
There was no breakfast, this hotel is a dump pay the extra $40 and stay at the Marriott in the same parking lot
It was close to Old Town Alexandria and right across the street from the Metro.
Good hotel in great location facilities good & staff very friendly.
