It was close to all of the activities we had planned to attend. The breakfast was great. We were hoping to get there in 2.5 hours but due to traffic it was closer to 4 hours. The town appeared nice but lots of construction was going on which mad travel difficult. When all is said and done that should turn out to be a great thing for the town. Several good placed to eat close by.

Alexandria is a cute historic town which is a great place to stay for jumping off to DC or Mount Vernon. There are great restaurants along King Street and a really nice waterfront. There is a free trolley to take you all along King Street, but it's very walkable.

Enjoyed old town and the Torpedo Factory.
Enjoyed old town and the Torpedo Factory. Went to Mount Vernon, Woodlawn, and Gunston Hall. Woodlawn needs some attention; can't believe it's a National Trust home. Also went to Hillwood Estate to Washington, D.C. -- magnificent.

Alexandria appeared to be a small and safe city with a relaxing vibe right outside of Washington, D.C. We spent most of our time touring D.C. Staying in Alexandria allowed us to stay in a relaxing place after spending tourist time in the hustle and bustle of a metropolitan city.

Alexandria is one of my favorite places to visit!
Alexandria is one of my favorite places to visit! It's set up to be friendly to tourists, but it doesn't feel kitschy or fake. There are a lot of independent local shops and wonderful restaurants. I didn't have a single bad meal the entire time I was there, and most of the restaurants have outdoor seating, including with heat and covering in poor weather. The Torpedo Factory art center is incredible! Alexandria is also very walkable, though the brick pavement is a little uneven, and public transit is free. I've visited three or four times now and plan to go back often!
Nice location on King Street, about half an hour walk to the Potomac and all the bars and restaurants.
The hotel room was large with 2 queen beds, a large TV & console, desk with chair and an armchair with footstool. Bedside table in between the 2 beds. Air con worked well and blackout curtains were a bonus.
Large bathroom with bath and shower over. Toiletries were very nice.
Friendly staff.
Near metro line.
The hotel is a good option for those who need a road-side hotel near Old Town Alexandria and the Huntington Metro Stop (25 min walk). Outside rush hour it also does not take too long to downtown DC. The rooms have a good size and are clean. The beds are comfortable. A coffee maker in the room and a fridge/microwave are a definite plus; so is the complimentary breakfast option.
In the heart of Old Town Alexandria, you can’t get a much better location in this area. I love the Sonder concept and appreciate the ease of the entire process. Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced.
My secured reservation form October 2023 was not honored and didn’t receive any notifications until I arrived to hotel to check in. I will be contacting Marriott.
