We found the B&B charming especially the gazebo. The parlor in the main house was a quiet place for reading and always available. Our room was spacious and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and the solarium where we ate so pretty. And the staff was wonderful -- helpful, friendly and, in the case of Emma, knowledgeable about local history at the level of a professor. I learned so much and, because of her recommendation we went to Bennington on our way home. I love learning American history this way.

The owners where both EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. I love the cottage vibe and they nailed it wirh all the amenities they had. Beautiful area. Very quiet.

This is an absolutely beautiful inn. I cannot recommend it enough. The staff was lovely and so helpful. The room we stayed in was perfect. My kids loved the alpacas and their two farm cats. The restaurant on site was delicious and the complimentary breakfast was very good. The made eggs, waffles, french toast to order. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

Location was just where we wanted. Beautiful area and great restaurants. I did experience some drawbacks. These are my issues but I am sure there are others who’s situation are similar. I found the bathroom a little hard physically. The toilet is old and extremely low. Difficult to get up & down. My travel partner also found it very low. And the bath tub was extremely high. Very difficult to get in to. The grab bar was not in a good place to help with getting in and out. I realize these are ADA adaptations that come with an expense to implement these features but in this day and age I am surprised that it is not mandatory. Some changes would make it a much easier / safer experience. Also, sadly we found the mattress way to hard and had a frame around it that actually hurt the back of your legs getting in and out of bed. Other than those constructive points of interest we found the Inn to be just what we wanted. The room was nice and spacious and well appointed. The view out the slider door was so peaceful and beautiful. Just what we wanted. The choice of breakfast was great. And to have extra choices was wonderful as well. A bowl of cereal or yogurt before your hot breakfast is a great addition. Our hosts are a lovely couple and it was a pleasure to have met them. Perhaps in the near future some ADA accessible changes would make a good visit a great experience. Looking forward to a visit in the future. Thanks to our hosts!!!!!

Megan who checked us in was wonderful. She was very helpful in informing us about the rooms and the area/places to eat. The rooms were spotlessly clean. We met the lady who cleans the room and she was very committed and enjoyable to speak with. The amenities provided were excellent. Lots of attention was given to making the stay comfortable.

Reluctant Panther exceeded our expectations in every way. We had a rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks event for a wedding and the food was delicious, staff friendly and accommodating in all our requests and the location perfect. The rooms are spacious and beautiful! Breakfast in the morning offered in your room or in the dining area was also a treat!

    I loved seeing animals freely walking around.. the rooster...

    I loved seeing animals freely walking around.. the rooster was huge and majestic. So handsome.. never saw one like this… and his girlfriend hen was adorable too. The Inn’s dog Marley is also a big plus for me.. and I got to pet him twice. I loved the cozy fireplaces in the room and also the breakfast nook, the decor was stunning and seeing the beautiful stunning colors of autumn only added to its charm. Under the Innkeepers recommendation, we had dinner at the Publik House, and we were floored with the high quality and excellence of the food. We also made time to go to Weston to see the Vermont Country Store… always a pleasure. Its like stepping back in time. Was an extremely beautiful weekend.

    The property needs lots of attention. There was no staff on site. The tavern and restaurant was closed. The original room given to me was literally uninhabitable. It smelled like a dead animal. After reaching someone on the phone my room was changed and it was a bit better, however, there were dead bugs in the windows and the paint was chipping. The bedding was comfortable but do yourself a favor and drive up the road ten minutes for a much better hotel/inn

    Breakfast was outstanding, Breakfast Banana Split was awesome. Room was comfortable. Inn was very near Fly Fishing events. Close to Bennington and Manchester - which is a lovely Vermont town. Highly recommended.
