We ate at the Huddle House twice.
We ate at the Huddle House twice. Waitress was very friendly and so much food we couldn't eat all of it. We also ate at Yanni's Pizza where we got the best calzones I have had in many years. We also stopped at Walmart and it had great, friendly employees, clean and easy to find everything. Found things that I have not found in Walmart where I live. Getting around is pretty easy and when we were there in mid May, not a lot of traffic. That was one reason we chose to stay there instead of Aiken.

The Carolina Lodge was great.
The Carolina Lodge was great. Not a luxury motel but a great place to stay with a clean ,quiet room and comfortable beds and pillows. Has an all night huddle house right next door so food available close. The town was small with a Walmart and a few restaurants but not much else. Eat early because everything except the huddle house closes around eight pm and there's nothing else for miles around.

Check in was quick. That was about the best part of the hotel itself. The proximity to the local town wasn't bad either, especially the local playground for my kids to enjoy.
