Located in Beatty, Nevada, 8.1 mi from the entrance to Death Valley National Park, this motel offers an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a furnished terrace with BBQ facilities and shaded seating. WOW! This inn, in the middle of nowhere (Beatty, there's nothing around...) exceeded our expectations so much! The check-in was super easy, the staff was very kind and helpful. This was our honeymoon vacation, and the staff filled our room with roses petals, candles and a bottle of wine, it was so sweet and thoughtful. The room was big, sparkly clean and comfortable. So was the bed. There's a TV, with good channels. Just across the street there's a good place for breakfasts (Mel's Diner), a grocery store nearby (Family Dollar), and couple of places for beer and dinner in a walking distance. Great value for the price! We enjoyed our staying very much and we highly recommend it!
Located in Beatty, Nevada, 9.5 miles from the Death Valley National Park, this motel offers an on-site launderette. Comfortably furnished, all guest rooms include free WiFi. Rooms in this old motel are nicely updated and quite clean. Overall, a great choice for an overnight break on a long dusty road.
With a seasonal outdoor pool, El Portal Motel is in Beatty, the Gateway to Death Valley. Free Wi-Fi access is available in all guest rooms. A really special place that is just perfect for exploring the area of death valley and getting a historical idea of the town Beatty.
Offering an outdoor pool and views of the pool, Shady Lady Bed and Breakfast is located in the Nevada Region and is 30 mi away from Death Valley National Park North East Entrance. Everything was great, definitely a place to stay for visiting Death Valley the next day. Very helpful and friendly owners, calm and pretty rooms!
Located 37 mi away from Death Valley National Park East Entrance, this Amargosa Valley motel features an outdoor pool and hot tub. Super cute place! Nice staff, 2 restaurants, pool, lake with ducks and has a donkey, sheep and cow to see. Wifi is great and the mini store open 24 hours
Beatty is awesome! Beauty, history, burros, friendly people. Small town surviving as the large red world goes about its business. Lots of things to see in a short distNce. East gateway to Death Valley.
Stay as far away from this hotel as possible unless you don't want to sleep. Go stay at the Cosmic Inn across the street. There was nothing to like about staying at the Death Valley Inn. Don't stay there.
Great Location to stay when visiting Death Valley NP. Very quiet and nice small town had a family dollar nearby to re-stock on water and snacks. We found a small gem of a restaurant called Mel's Diner their breakfasts are great and for the price it was a steal went also for lunch. Beatty Nevada is a short 10 mins into Death Valley and an hour to hour and half to all the popular destinations. Also since you're there travel to Goldfield and see the International Car Forest.
Great place to visit in the middle of nowhere. Small but great place for breakfast is Mel's. J's Smoking house a great place for dinner if you like ribs. Not alot of places to eat but still a great place to stay.
Beatty is one of the Nevada gateways to Death Valley. It's a very small town, much smaller than Pahrump, the other Nevada gateway. Only market is a Dollar General. Beer and wine on sale at two gas stations, so it's probably best to bring your own beverages. There are a couple of casinos but I think they only have slots. The Happy Burro chili & beer on the main drag is outstanding. Indoor and heated patio seating. A few draft beers and all things chili, and it's good chili. Very friendly staff and patrons.
So convenient to visit Death Valley. It is in LV and on the edge of Dateh Valley. Very convenient small town with closeby gas station an restaurants. Highly recommend driving down Titus Canyon, which is only a one-way traffic going SW, so it's on your way into the Canyon. Amazing scenery, I'd say, one of the best in any national parks.
My wife and I had an excellent stay t El Portal Motel in Beatty, NV: we were allowed to check into our room early. The owners were very helpful and suggested good places to eat and visit in Death Valley. We had battery trouble nd the owner was kind enough to help jump start our vehicle. Our room was very clean and comfortable. i will definitely stay there again.
We loved the place, the helpful staff and the room. They are kept in well condition, very clean and all in all are very comfortable. Some options to eat and groceries are nearby. Beatty is a really nice place. We regret we didn't stay longer.
Unlike other motels in the area, the hotel rooms were up to date and it did not stink of cigarettes. I liked that it was conveniently close to the main roads and the coffee machine in the room was a great plus.
The location is closed to Death Valley National Park, very convenient. The hotel is within a 5-minute walk from Beatty's downtown area.
