Located 19 miles from the Hell’s Gate entrance to Death Valley National Park, this pet-friendly motel offers retro American design. Once again for the second year running a great stay here, the owner is very helpful and she will give you any information you need about staying in Beatty. Rooms are great, WI FI is perfect and Make sure you head over to the Sourdough saloon for beer and some chilli. Beatty is a fantastic place and The Atomic Inn is a credit to the town. Everyone there makes you feel so welcome and will most definitely be visiting there for a third time one day.
Offering an outdoor pool and views of the pool, Shady Lady Bed and Breakfast is located in the Nevada Region and is 30 mi away from Death Valley National Park North East Entrance. I had a wonderful stay at Jennifer and Nigel's place, enjoying their hospitality and humor. Unique place with friendly atmosphere and great company of other guests.
Quaint town , with nice accommodation, a great cafe with the best breakfast and coffee I had in all of our stay . Death Valley surprised us with its diversity of landscape and things to see and Beatty is a great gateway to Death Valley . Really worth a visit .
This small town offers good accommodation near Death Valley. There are a few nice restaurants and bars and a supermarket. Not that much to do, but I thought it was interesting talking to the locals and stay in a place that is not super tourist-oriented. It has kept a genuine look.
There are only three places to stay in Death Valley. All three are very expensive for what you get. Also , the restaurant at Stovepipe Wells is understaffed resulting in a long wait to get your food. Beatty provides good accomodations and dining (at the VFW) at half the price of the valley.
Beatty is a really interesting little town in Nevada, close to Death Valley National Park. If you are into history, you will like it. It was one of the few mining boom towns that is still around. Don’t expect a resort community! You need patience and a sense of humor to really enjoy the town, but if you give it a chance, it will be fun. Denny’s was the only national brand restaurant we saw, but there are some other home town places to eat also. Gas prices were reasonable and much less than inside Death Valley Park! Don’t be surprised if you see a few friendly stray burros walking down the street or sidewalk…just adds to the charm of this cute little town that time forgot!
Beatty is a small Nevada town, with two gas stations and several casinos. We found that Gema's Cafe had a great breakfast. It is a small place with really good food. For dinner, we ate at Smokin' J's BBQ, which has excellent food, and we highly recommend. We are waiting for the Sourdough Saloon to re-open.
Beatty was a unique little town. Where can you go and see mules roaming freely around town. So fun to see. Food was amazing we ate at Gemas dinner and breakfast. Amazing food very good. VFW takeout Good food and the Barbecue place was excellent.
In the middle of nowhere, the Exchange Motel shines like a beacon in the desert. Beatty Nevada is the Gateway to Death Valley, and it is only 75 miles north of Las Vegas.
A bit frayed at the edges, but nice and clean. Friendly staff. You pay what you get for: THAT near Death Valley it is excellent value for money.
Great location. Rooms were very nice, looks like they have had a recent remodel. Outside of the hotel was rustic but cute.
Ava in reception was a superstar! The location was fab! Beatty is such a cool place and perfect for exploring Death Valley
