Love the peace and quiet and the views from the balcony or front yard were beautiful - you feel like you are inside a forest and I loved that. The reception staff were very friendly and upgraded us as well on request - which was awesome. For this cost, it is a great value. Will definitely come back for a romantic getaway!

The famous Spud Point restaurant is always excellent.
The famous Spud Point restaurant is always excellent. We also visited the nearby Fishiterian and Lucas Wharf restauranst which were also excellent.
Sightseeing on Bodega Head was nice seeing the sea lions and various sea birds. The views of coast driving north and south of Bodega Bay were great!

Our room with balcony and view of the bay was perfect we had dinner at the famous Rocker Oysterfellows and figured out how to get there by walking ( due to excessive cars and people parked along the road). It would have been nice if staff told us about that option). The room felt European, very clean and spacious, but we didn’t really love the bed.

We moved out of Hotel Dega after one disastrous night and...
We moved out of Hotel Dega after one disastrous night and moved to our friends RV for three nights. So we got to enjoy it better.
We took great coastal drives, ate fresh king salmon from the Tides market, Wild Flour bakery was fabulous!

There are a variety of restaurants, and the grocery/deli is great for informal meals like sandwiches. We are not shoppers, so I can't rate the various stores, although there seem to be enough. It is worth the drive out to the headland to watch the sunset.

Bodega Bay is a delightful spot on the northern Pacific...
Bodega Bay is a delightful spot on the northern Pacific Coast. We go there often, although this time was for a quick overnight.
There are a number of fine restaurants in the area, and beautiful ocean views. The many activities to enjoy include hiking on Bodega Head to visits to the Marine Biology Center and finding sights from "The Birds". There are some unique shops and the seasonal "Salmon Creek Art Walks".
Visit its many beaches; check out this coastal treasure at any time of year. You never know who or what you will find!

Bodega Bay is pretty tiny, so no need to stay too long.
Bodega Bay is pretty tiny, so no need to stay too long. The Fishetarian has amazing fish tacos + beer, and Bay View at the Tides is a spectacular "fancy dinner" spot. Doran State Beach was a wonderful find, as was the tiny boutique-bakery-and-flower settlement at Freestone, just up the road. Valley Ford has a nice grocery and wonderful Estero Cafe featuring local Straus and Clover dairy products and other local produce.

A hillside bay fronted building overlooking Bodega Bay on Highway 1. A bit of an upside down house. All rooms have fantastic views and those who stay are treated to sea otters frolicking in the bay, pelicans diving into the water and numerous birds on the shoreline. Extremely well appointed and very clean. Throughly recommend this house

We were there for a night to celebrate my parents 60th birthday. Excellent hotel, amazing view and the service was exceptional ! My parents felt very special and had the time of their life !
