Only minutes from the Atlantic Ocean in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, this charming property features comfortable accommodations within walking distance of many of the area's top attractions. The room was a standard hotel room in that no detail had been left unaddressed. We were very comfortable there. The breakfast, although advertised as "continental," was quite substantial. There were breakfast sandwiches, waffles to reheat, fruit, cereal, a variety of muffins and pastries, yogurt, juice, etc.
Situated in Boothbay Harbor, this waterfront hotel offers a full-service restaurant and on-site marina. Room 405 had a nice harbor view and was so convenient to the shops. We never had to drive anywhere. We loved the restaurant and ate there all 3 nights of our stay. Everything was super delicious, but the lobster bisque was our very favorite. We appreciated the great service, too. Thanks so much! We will return.
Overlooking Boothbay Harbor, this historic waterfront hotel features an on-site dockside restaurant and rooms featuring private balconies with harbor views. Beautiful location with harbor view. Walking distance to wonderful restaurants and shops. Room was comfortable and clean with a small balcony. Staff were pleasant and efficient. We will be back!
Featuring views of the bay, this resort has a full service spa and 1 saltwater pool and 1 freshwater pool. The resort has an on-site restaurant as well. Boothbay Harbor is 2 miles away. GREAT PLACE!!!!!! Just wish we had more time. And wish it had not rained.
Harborage Inn on the Oceanfront is located in downtown Boothbay Harbor. Free WiFi access is available. This inn features a seven-person oceanfront hot tub. All rooms have deck access with harbor... Beautiful coastal decor. Waterfront location near centre of town. Deck for sitting out.
Loved the town and the offerings for water experiences: Cabbage Island ClamBake was a favorite; cruises for viewing nature including whales and puffins, fishing! There are plenty of shops and galleries to explore and the restaurants were plentiful and delicious. The only real problem was finding parking. Although there is a great deal of parking with restricted hours, ie. 2 hours or 4 hours, there were so many people and cars that we drove around the town many times before finding a spot. The lighthouse is worth a visit and the waterfront is a perfect place to people watch. on the way in, we visited the Botanical Gardens which were fabulous and I imagine would be anytime of the year!
Best part of the trip was a whale watch cruise with Cap N Fish. A great experience. Also Mama D’s Cafe on Union St for a fantastic breakfast and lunch Free trolley service is also great for getting around without a car. No parking headache. We loved Boothbay Harbor
The shops on the Harbour are lots of fun to look through, you will always find a gem to take home with you. There are a lot of little inlets to explore. And so many places to eat where excellent local seafood are offered. We had delicious clam chowder and bacon wrapped scallops for lunch at Boothbay Lobster Wharf. Tender halibut at Mine Oyster as well as haddock tacos.
Boothbay is a beautiful harbor with plenty to see and do. There are many quality restaurants and a variety of cuisines if seafood is not your thing, but if seafood is your thing you won’t be disappointed. There are a variety of shops in town, boat excursions and the “not-to-be-missed” Botanical Gardens.
We loved the quaintness of Boothbay Harbor. The shops, stores, eateries, were close together once car was parked, BUT, there are some hills and steps, etc making it difficult if in walker, balance issues etc. I'm 70 and loved visiting the shops for souvenirs, which is where the attendant told us of the BEST lobster rolls, which we followed and agreed. I also understand we were lucky in early June as Boothbay would be filled with tourists "next week". My review might be different then.
Such an amazing place! A ton of options for local shops, food and places to stay right on the water's edge! Our first of many visits to the Boothbay Harbor!! Our favorite eatery was Shannon's Unshelled-get their lobster roll if you want to taste some of the best lobster in the harbor. Every place we visited we were within walking distance from our stay at the Tugboat Inn!
This is my second stay, Annually I go to Northern Maine and on the way back stay at the Flagship because it is good value, clean and comfortable accommodations and an excellent staff. Being able to grab a quick breakfast is something I appreciate. The location is just perfect for getting to Boothbay Harbor and to the Coastal Maine botanical gardens.
Amazing location with the best view ever! Sunsets over the water from our balcony were spectacular! The restaurant and bar at the hotel was wonderful, but could probably use a bit of updating. Food and drinks and staff were so good! There are cribbage boards available on the tables in the lounge.... We will be back!!
great secluded location, generous size room with fantastic view, nice terrace, other great outdoor seating areas. SUPs and kayaks and saltwater heated pool. breakfast with a view. nicely renovated and love the marine style decor. it is 5 min to the restaurants in Boothbay harbor
Our stay has been wonderful! Everything about the inn is meticulous. Our room was newly and beautifully renovated. Our breakfast was delicious. We certainly enjoyed the hot tub after walking around Boothbay Harbor. We will be back!
Clean and comfy property. Conveniently located next to the footpath making navigating Boothbay Harbor easy. Loving was closed so unable to check this out. Would definitely stay again.
The room had a balcony overlooking Boothbay Harbor. It was on the 1st floor and was very comfortable. Would definitely stay longer next time.
Location in centre of town. Easy walk to most amenities and restaurants Very well maintained given age of hotel. Good value for the.area.
Simple but very good and an adequate variety. The top deck lounge was very nice with spectacular views of Boothbay Harbor
Our bungalow was very close to shopping, dining, downtown and a lot of attractions. The house had everything needed to make us feel at home. The hosts had a good supply of extra blankets, pillows and towels. Very private back deck with a great view and quiet neighbors. Would definitely book there again!
Hostess was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was outstanding. Comfortable rooms with great views. Definitely will return.
GREAT PLACE!!!!!! Just wish we had more time. And wish it had not rained.
