It is a great small town! The town square is across the street from the hotel. There are several coffee shops, other fun little shops. We ate at Kincaid's, a local micro brewery ( we recommend the Honey Wheat beer.) The onion rings are the best we've ever had. Fun, relaxing time.
Broken Bow is close to so many other Nebraska towns, but with many choices for eating, including several fast food places! The Arrow hotel is a gem in Central Florida with upscale furnishings, great food (awesome breakfast buffet) and reasonable prices compared to Ord and other nearby town motels. And it has the typical Nebraska courtesy and friendliness I love coming home to! Makes me proud to have been born in NE!
I grew up in Broken Bow, and I graduated from high school in B.B. My parents owned the Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln dealerships. I love the town square and the gazebo. Everything is clean, and the community is friendly. I have several relatives in the area, too. So, I will return.
I liked the friendly people most. The museum was outstanding, the lady there was very good in explaining the history of Broken Bow. Time spent at the fair grounds watching the Jr Rodeo was very enjoyable. The Tumble Weed restaurant was really good. Wish the Red Barn was open before Memorial Day week-end. Visited the Adams Land & Cattle Co which was great.
Great Hotel-Motel. The Tumbleweed Restaurant in Broken Bow was outstanding as was the Pizza Hut. We enjoyed doing some shopping at the Shopko Hometown. It is very easy to get around in Broken Bow. We went to the High School for the Broken Bow TurBow Youth Basketball Tournament. It was a first class event. We watched 12 Basketball games on Sunday, February 26.
It was fun experiencing the Junk Jaunt for the first time. Stayed at the lovely Cobblestone Hotel you have. Visited the pub downtown- great food and drinks. Ate well at the Asian restaurant . Enjoyed it all :)
