Many families visiting Clemson loved staying at Courtyard Clemson, James F. Martin Inn, and The Abernathy.
The campus was incredibly quiet the day after Thanksgiving, especially considering there was a noon football game the next day. The beautiful landscaping still had lots of fall color. I recommend visiting the Botanical Gardens any time of year.
Clemson is a beautiful area. Short drive to Greenville. We had a blast at Treetop Quest in Greenville (zipline / ropes adventure). And you have to go to The Oasis Ranch miniature golf course in Seneca. It's like a vacation destination itself!
Clemson is the epitome of southern hospitality! It’s a wonderful place to be, it’s common areas are beautiful, the people are extremely friendly and everywhere you go you are greeted with “good morning” or “have a great day” attitude. Clemson loves their sport teams, but, everyone loves football and the pride they all carry needs to be shared with the world. Go Tigers!! I love Clemson and we will be back often.
Clemson is a special place. Warm welcoming, and so friendly. No one is a stranger in town because everyone says hello. The town is great the university is amazing and the best thing I can say about Clemson is that when you go to Clemson it feels like you’re going home!
The town was empty because the university was closed due to COVID-19. The people that were there were wearing masks and practicing social distancing. There was still a lot to do. My son and I shopped, swam in the lake, ate out, toured Memorial Stadium and the university. Hopefully in a few years, my son will be enrolled at Clemon University.
Clemson is a great place - with a top University! Everyone bleeds orange and purple and let’s not even start with the football. There are lots of great outdoor activities and sights to see if you get a chance visit a few of them.
I loved my first stay at the Abernathy! The room was perfectly clean. The mattress was very comfortable and the shower was awesome! I really loved the Dabo suite. It made me feel like part of the team and I would recommend it to any fan of America’s best college football team. The location is also very convenient. The bar/restaurant was ok, but the location of the hotel made up for it. The Abernathy is a very short walk to the Esso Club and in the opposite direction is downtown and many good options.
Is very clean and well-maintained hotel and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We found the hotel to be very nice and very well kept and the room is very clean and everything seems to be updated and above standard condition. The surrounding area is very nice as well being close to the lake and having a good restaurant attached is a plus as well.
Met with a welcome from the front desk staff. Explained the layout of the hotel and facilities available. excellent breakfast, nice pool are and spacious, immaculate room.
Apparently there's no such thing as a breakfast on Mondays at this hotel or a dinner for that matter, no kitchen staff, ridiculous!!!!
Very close to Clemson University. The staff was friendly and it was clean.
