The Comfort Suites hotel is nestled against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains just minutes from Colorado State University, Front Range Community College and Old Town Fort Collins. This is a bit of a gem among 2 star hotels. Nothing spectacular, though rooms are reasonably sized they are a bit older. But it is very well run. Check in is efficient, housekeeping excellent (much better than at its neighbor the Homewood Suites where I also stayed), the tiny gym is adequate (and was largely empty when I was there), and it is quiet. It should be stressed it is very clean (despite some reviews saying the opposite which I suspect were planted). Excellent value, better than some more expensive nearby competitors.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Fort Collins, an IHG Hotel, Hilton Fort Collins, and Cambria Hotel Ft Collins got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Fort Collins.
Fort Collins is a friendly and unpretentious alternative to Boulder. THe historic Downtown is thriving w/ an excellent small art museum and performing arts center where we heard a Sam Bush - Edgar Myer concert. Loved the public art in alleyways.
When we got to the property on Friday we were absolutely blown away by how filthy dirty this hotel was. Literally, if you took a black light in there it would light up like Christmas. Mold, terrible odor, brown filthy walls, and so much more.. I think you get the picture. We couldn’t possibly stay… We ended up leaving immediately and calling the Clarion to let them know that we had vacated the room, and left the keys. They would not refund our money AND they charged me an additonal $25 for leaving. Absolute crap! Don't ever stay here.
We always stop in Ft. Collins on our way to Rock Springs, Wyoming. The motel we stayed in was very nice and the price was good as opposed to the one we stayed in a few years ago which was horrible! The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good.
Fort Collins is the cleanest and most well-maintained city that I have ever seen. This has to be a reflection of the city's government effectiveness and care about how their city looks. I was more than impressed. If I ever lived in a Colorado metropolis, it would be Fort Collins.
Loved everything about Fort Collins. It is a vibrant city with lots going on there and in the surrounding area. Great road system ensures easy access to surrounding countryside, and for journeys further afield. The Old Town is full of good eateries to satisfy any taste and style. There are also several great malls around the city. For food try Sonny Lubick's (expensive, but outstanding for food and service), Austins, Coopersmiths, the Blind Pig, and for sweet treat Walrus takes some beating on quality and price. A selection of pubs abound - try the Crown if it's a quiet drink you are looking for.
This hotel should not be open. It is unlike any Quality Inn in which I have ever stayed. The room was not clean; stains on bed. The smoke detector was covered with plastic bags. The balcony door did not lock. There were few parking spots; only one for handicap parking. The elevator was old, full of carvings into the wood.
I only had breakfast once out of 6 mornings, The morning I was catching a shuttle there only seemed to be one waiter on hand and he was very overwhelmed. He did not remember which of 2 credit cards was mine, after telling him, he went to charge both and brought me again the wrong card. The other person also noticed, so he had to credit both and re-charge us both, I do not hold it against him, as the room had many guest and he seemed to be overwhelmed. We did get our coffee, water and meal quickly.
We come back almost every year because we love this American standard and we have friends in Fort Collins. It's not a first class facility but charming and quiet and just nice. Spacious rooms, clean, nice continental breakfast with an awesome new pancakes maker which every guest just loved ;) We are already regular guests and definitely will return if we can afford it. We are used to the location and everything feels familiar. I'd rate it ten if they'd fix some issues.
That the staff took care of the miscommunication with the price of the room. When I clicked to reserve I booked at the sale price bookings.com had listed, the price doubled but I didn’t know because I didn’t check my final confirmation. We think that the sale price may have been for particular days? I was mortified that I was going to be billed 198.00 a night for Fort Collins! The manager honored the sale price and was kind and understanding.
Location is just outside of Colorado State University campus and Old Town Fort Collins. Too far to walk but an easy drive. Hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. Hotel is a bit dated but otherwise was very clean. Rooms are a comfortable size. There was a nice selection of breakfast items both hot and cold. A bit more than I'd otherwise pay for a property of this caliber, but understandable and typical on college game weekends.
We were extremely pleased with our stay. We stayed a total of 8 nights and the entire stay was wonderful. From the cleanliness of the hotel to the extremely helpful staff, everything went well and we will definitely stay again when we visit Fort Collins. The front desk personnel were very pleasant and helpful; by the time we checked out, it felt like they were family.
I didn't receive any breakfast no coffee unless I went to the IHOP kind of smell like cow s*** around the area and the room kind of smelled a little pissyit would have been a little quieter it seemed like some people I don't know seem like a lot of loud banging
It was the first time that we've stayed at a La Quinta Inn. The lobby was cheerful and welcoming. We liked a lot of things about our room and the motel. We liked the swimming pools and hot tub and used them.
Such a great hotel! Can’t say enough about the wonderful & very accommodating staff and the cleanliness of the entire facility. Visiting Fort Collins? Definitely stay here. Great value too....
Very comfy beds, nice little well equipped kitchen included, nice spacious room and bathroom. It really felt like having a little apartment to yourself. Staff were also helpful and kind.
Very clean and luxeros room and less expensive than you might thing. Super friendly staff. Plenty of hygiene products in the shower
Great boutique hotel. Comfortable beds and great location for walking in downtown FoCo. Bar has Speakeasy vibe and great drinks
