We hiked to Hanging Lake one morning. It is worth the sweat and long climb! One must make reservations because the number of people allowed on the trail is limited, which makes for a better overall experience. We ate lunch at a great restaurant in Glenwood Springs, Smoke. So much amazing things to do from the Glenwood hot springs to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park which had rides and two amazing caves to explore. Also a short hike to see the resting placed of Doc Holiday also a Doc Holiday museum. and several great places to eat and have a drink so much to see and do including river rafting the Colorado River. Just stayed here one night during our road trip through Colorado. Came here for the Iron Mountain Hot Springs (highly recommend). We've been to Glenwood Springs many times over the years. There are many summertime activities, and good restaurants to visit. We eat on the patio at the Slope and Hatch every trip. We also recommend Sweet Colorado. They have gluten free cake doughnuts! It is a town steeped in History.
It is a town steeped in History. The chamber of commerce has information on the walking tour of some of the oldest buildings in the town the frontier museum or something I want to do next time I took a nature hike to the cemetery where Doc Holliday is buried.
