Not your typical tourist type setting. It’s a park.
Not your typical tourist type setting. It’s a park. It’s clean well cared for and protected by its residents. It’s serene and peaceful. We went in August, still very busy, but not like most places. Family friendly take snacks and drinks mainland is 10 miles to grocery store. $10 a day park fee if going in and out

We rode the bikes for approx 3 to 4 hours all over the island for each of four days. The views are spectacular! The bike path is amazing and circles the entire island. We started at the south end of the island at St Andrew's beach and rode on the beach sand all the way past drfift wood beach to the fishing pier at the north end, at low tide of course. We tried the same ride a previous day during high tide and it was not possible.
The island is beautiful but the ocean is brown with sediment. I did enjoy it briefly but my GF was not a fan and she did not enter the surf.
The island seems to be more for the older crowd and young families.

No microwave. No breakfast. Restaurant was disappointing.
No microwave. No breakfast. Restaurant was disappointing. Food was poor. Super small refrigerator. Very small oceanfront patio. No outside light on patio. Bathroom sink was so blocked up I had to report to hotel maintenance to clear.

Five nights and fout full days with a good range of quality places to visit and small but varied restaurants.
Good beaches and well maintained eco system.
A must for a break where in our case we were travelling down the east coast from Georgia to Florida.

Jekyll is one of the few quiet beaches left and it is a special place. You will see deer grazing, secluded beach spots at the south end of the island, driftwood beach is a must see and some great dining options. The Jekyll Island Club is also a must-see property and you could spend a day just in that area with all there is to offer. Be sure to bring a bike if you ride, the trails are great. Most recommended beach!

The various beach options gave us different sunrises and sunsets each night! A very short walk to the ocean beachfront from the hotel. The turtle hospital was very unique. The eagle walk was awesome too. And Driftwood Beach is entirely different than any other beach I've travelled to. It was beautiful, peaceful, and yet sort of spooky. We will be back with our bikes the next visit!
The staff at the Westin were the absolute best! Always eager to help and went above and beyond what was asked! I can’t wait to go back! The food was excellent. We left a wedding reception to go back and eat the braised short ribs at the hotel! Delicious! Wonderful views of the ocean while in the room and while dining!
Jekyll Islands as such is a wonderful spot, but the Beachview is a real highlight. It’s directly at the magnificent shore. Haven’t seen a better a better place on the island. The team was super friendly and the rooms are nice with direct ocean view.
