Good layout, lovely setting just above a small and swimable river. They really thought things through for this place and went above and beyond. The sauna was nice, the pool too. They obviously put thought into the maintenance of their grounds. There was also live music in the cozy little reception area, a very nice touch. We ended up extending and staying on another day.

Lake Placid Inn Boutique Hotel, hotel in Lake Placid

Located in Lake Placid, 1.2 miles from Lake Placid, Lake Placid Inn Boutique Hotel has accommodations with a fitness center, free private parking, a terrace and a tennis court.

The location was perfect for our stay in Lake Placid. We were able to leave the car at the hotel and walk to restaurants and shops in town, which was perfect given the amount of traffic in town. The daily breakfast was excellent, with options changing daily. I especially appreciated the coffee which was superior to most I have encountered in hotels. I highly recommend the pub next door for lunch and dinner. Their menu options were very good and the staff could not have been nicer. My friend has severe food allergies and the restaurant was extremely accommodating.

We were a group of 19 people from Europe, and we stopped in Lake Placid on our journey from Montreal to New York. Unfortunately, it was very rainy during our one-and-a-half-day stay in July. We made the best of it and managed to complete a short hike (Mt. Jo Loop). Visiting the ski jump tower was a memorable experience for everyone. Unfortunately, the Skyflyer Zip Line was closed due to the rain, so we missed out on that.

I hadn't been to Lake Placid in years.

I hadn't been to Lake Placid in years. It was much improved, seemed booming. Lots of restaurants to pick from. And unchanged. It is so close to the High Peak District of the Adirondacks which are amazing

I liked the views, quietness, fresh air, variety of restaurants, nice spacious metered parking at the city center (pretty cheap compared to Boston), opportunities to walk around the city. Lake Placid is a nice hub for those wishing to go hiking Adirondack mountains and forests but not wanting to live in a campsite.

    I really liked the town.

I really liked the town. It's cozy, with old buildings and without skyscrapers. Beautiful hiking options. Nice museum. Many coffee places and dinning options. A little bit overpriced but still OK for a vacation. Definitely it's better to have a kitchen at you stay options to save some money on a food.

I went Sunday to Thursday in mid December, but it seems like "season" doesn't start in Lake Placid until Christmas day. A lot of attractions and restaurants are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and it was raining the only day the speed skating oval was open for me, so I had bad luck and would plan better next time. I didn't get to do bobsled experience and other things from the legacy site and was even turned away from the Gondola at whiteface as a sight seer. So just make sure the things you want to do will be open when you go.

One of the best small vacation towns in the northeast.

One of the best small vacation towns in the northeast. Plenty of food options in a full price range. some intimate bars and restaurants as well as a bunch of places with crowds and music. Plenty of stuff for kids of all ages. safe and walkable

Good breakfast (not included in the room fee). Approachable helpful staff. Very reasonably priced bar and restaurant, good a la carte menu. Good design of the buildings - despite hotel being full, it never got crowded in the bar, restaurant or other common areas. Walking distance to Lake Placid centre.

The staff was incredibly friendly. The room was gorgeous and the hotel is a short walk into town. It might be further from town than other hotels, but it's well worth it. This is a peaceful and romantic getaway!!
